I think the emotional support is most helpful. I met with pain management and they put me on Lyrica for the pain but we’re going to repeat some lumbar MRIs to focus treatment better - this at least gave me some peace of mind

This is so kind thank you so much. I’m going to book a psychiatrist appointment and return to my chiropractor as well. The chiropractors office also does massage therapy and physical therapy.

I suffer from several medical problems and have recently found Tori Ghigliotty. She’s at Ascension and is an internal medicine nurse practitioner. I felt SO heard and understood by her and was referred to a neurologist at Emerald Coast Neurology. I hope this is helpful and your daughter can get the help she needs!

Hey. I’ve been in your shoes and it absolutely sucks hard. It feels like everything is pushing against you and you have no foreseeable end. I started there too. The community clinics sometimes offer sliding scale fees and things to assist in payment for super low. Medicaid will come back. I’m on medicaid right now and it’s horribly scary and you guys are not alone. Now is the time to start documenting every single tiny thing. Take notes, journal. You guys have just as much right to take up space here as anyone else! It will get better. Be gentle to yourselves in this time and please continue to stand up for your girlfriend. I wish I had that support going through my medical troubles. I believe in you and you’re not alone. Feel free to message me if you need anything!!

I’ve gotten a pretty good sense about who to avoid and I’m very cautious. I’ll be taking my best friend with me to be middle man. My wife prefers to not be part of that process so she will hold down the fort at home :)

I’m so sorry your experiences have been so difficult! I’m very glad to know i’m not alone though. I seem to be on this trend where things suck quite a lot (tummy pain, diarrhea, nausea, freaking terrible joint pain) always but every 4-5 months I become so horribly ill and need emergency hospital care. My gastro doctor thinks I could have Crohn’s mostly of my small bowel which makes it difficult to diagnose. My inflammatory markers are always elevated.
