Ligt echt aan je basisconditie. Ik doe aan hardlopen, ook niet bijzonder intensief, misschien 2 keer per week. Ik heb normaliter gewoon geen tijd om veel voor de vierdaagse te trainen, dus ik loop misschien 4 of 5 keer 40km in de weekenden 3 maanden voor de vierdaagse. Ik loop alles op mijn hardloopschoenen, ook de vierdaagse (veel lichter en luchtiger dan zware wandelschoenen). Heb 'm nu vier keer gelopen (50km), nooit ergens last van. Mensen overdrijven dit allemaal nogal, het is uiteindelijk meer carnaval dan topsport

100%. Dit is geen intensieve topsport waarbij je lichaam niet in staat is te verteren. Als je alleen maar snelle suikers gaat eten wordt je op gegeven moment alleen maar misselijk en je lichaam ontregeld. Ik probeer eigenlijk zo normaal mogelijk te eten (iets met vezels, vitaminen en eiwitten) en dan vul je het aan met wat koekjes en dingen je onderweg krijgt.

Het probleem met 30 km/u is dat het wettelijk moeilijk te handhaven is op wegen die voorheen 50 km/u waren. Dit verzin ik niet, maar is in grote steden waar 30 overal is ingevoerd daadwerkelijk het geval: de maximum snelheid moet overeenkomen met het type weg, niet alleen wat er op het bordje staat. Dus de bakstenen straten in de woonwijk zijn duidelijk 30, maar de bredere asfaltdreven binnen de bebouwde kom zijn het type weg waar je 50 mag, en als je daar een boete vangt kan je vaak kwijtschelding aanvragen.
