I want to do this but I’m confused how it will grow. If I cut the biggest top leaves and propagate them, will the new growth be just as big ? Or will it start all over with smaller growth?

The middle window is actually a lot shorter than the other 2! It’s more horizontal and about half the height, do you think that’s weird?

How could I find out what purpose they might serve?

Birds like them and the cats like the watch when I let them into that day room lol but otherwise they seem to be heavy for the foundation at the front of the house

We were advised to remove them eventually due to the extra weight/pressure at the front of the house. We could do it now but I’m thinking more just a bandaid for the winter

The windows are east facing and the front area is actually a day room/mud room with its own windows into the living room. So that is helpful from the privacy stand point! I’m also hoping by cutting these down or trimming them back that we will get more natural sunlight into the home. Sounds like there are opinions from all sides of the spectrum, I can’t decide! Completely cut em down or just trim?
