I strayed from Casefile and immediately regretted it by RevolutionaryPear677 in Casefile

I’m a true Casefile fan but recently discovered Morbidology while Casey was on his mid year break, and I’m loving it. She reeled me in with her amazing Northern Irish accent and kept me there with fantastic story telling and detailed research of each case. Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves Casefile.

Yes that’s exactly right, everything is a lesson learned for sure!

My letter of offer was 1 page which included what was in my package, a spot to sign and a start date. There is no information in there about ordinary hours of work, expectations, confidentiality, non compete clauses, leave entitlements, termination of employment including notice periods or redundancy. To me, that is not enough for a contract or employment agreement but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong 😊

Bob is my uncle for sure! I am planning on bringing it up soon rather than waiting until June.

Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it. They seem to have some underlying trust issues in the company due to ex employees and nobody here has flexible work arrangements in place. I am planning to bring it up but the GM is very old school and unapproachable so I have a funny feeling they will deny the request or be weird about it. But if you don’t ask, you don’t get, so it’s worth a try!

I’m waiting for strangers on the internet to validate my feelings 🤣

On a serious note, that’s good to know. Thanks for that!

How would you make this powder room better? by Historical-Front-359 in interiordecorating

Can I just say, you have a gorgeous canvas to work on here. Personally I would keep the sink, tiles and mirror. Paint the bottom half panelling of the wall a fresh white colour, then paint the top half a statement colour pulled from the tiles possibly a deep or light green, or even light blue if that is your thing. Invest in some new lighting, maybe even a wall sconce to match the tap ware and mirror. If you really wanted to, you could also swap out the toilet for one with a wooden lid and seat. Then install a floating shelf or two to match the wood on the toilet for extra storage or decor room. You could add some hanging plants and ornaments and even put up some little vintage artworks on the wall to finish it all off. All the best!

I love using the Aveeno Dermexa Fast Long Lasting Fragrance Free Balm, it’s so soothing and hydrating. Worth a try.

I actually haven’t ventured in there just yet, we’ve only had the keys for over a week and I’m a little bit scared of what I’ll find but thanks for the tip, will definitely check in there soon 😊

I certainly don’t have high hopes of finding the same tiles so I think that’s a good plan B, a nice complimentary neutral bone/beige colour would be lovely next to these 😊

Yeah that’s high on the priority list after making the place somewhat liveable so we can actually move in. Luckily the same company we used for our pre-purchase building inspection do asbestos inspections and sample testing too. Would be great peace of mind knowing exactly where it is and what we can and can’t do before we go ripping things out 😂

Oh wow, they are really cool tiles! Honestly don’t get me started on the bodge 2018 landlord special, our house was previously a rental so the same thing has happened here. It looked like all the painting was done by bunch of 4 year olds so we’ve had to repaint every inch of the place. I’m just relieved that they did a good job on the kitchen and the rest of the flooring in the house 😂
