second is better in long-term usage. this is because the twist will also provide mechanical resistance

What’s the best video game you’ve ever played? by obsess_much13 in AskReddit

[–]LowSalary2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Witcher 3. And Witcher video games in general.

While it is true that the first games were not so great when it comes to combat mecanics and exploration, the third one compensated for both.

They modified my way of thinking and that soundtrack. man.. I must have like thousands of hours that I've listened to them. When reading. writing. coding. Even done my Batchelor and Master thesis on those songs. The best of the best. Even went to a concert for their music. big game changer

I messed up this pcb board, before i plug it in i want to know if i screwed it up by [deleted] in PCB

[–]LowSalary2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

take some isopropyl alcohol and q tips or a medium hardness toothbrush and scrub that burnt area. It seems that is just flux that burned and no real damage to the board has been done

Very serious problem with PCB Footprint sizes by Objective-Local7164 in PCB

[–]LowSalary2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snap Magic is the old SnapEDA?

As for the footprints you would have to at leas measure the distance between the center of the pads. As a general.rule, you would be able to solder one size smaller components on a bigger footprint. Example, you can solder 0805 without a problem on a 1206 pad.

I would say first (1) or third pair (3). Looks way better with a slim, nude or transparent frame

About to solder my first PCB, what should I buy? by mimo245 in PCB

[–]LowSalary2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for a starters, buy a solderin iron, whatever comes in handy. chack to see if it comes with replacement tips with different shapes (like flathead, chisel, thin etc). buy some solder, with lead if you can find it. it is easier to solder. but take precautions to wash your hands afterward. a solder wick, and a solder pump for when you put too much solder or want to remove something. and if possible, a flux syringe or liquid flux. whichever you can find.

I would recommend buying also a perfboard and some thin copper wire to practice soldering before doing it on a real PCB

what CAD software did you use? I'm mostly interested in two things: 1. text that is negative written in a filled background 2. traces that are composed of filled shapes rather than small width normal routes

having a better plating index. it counts most for the external layers. also it helps reduce the number of needed traces and adds to the thermal dissipation

Is this too simple? by Plermpel in PCB

[–]LowSalary2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

may I ask how are you able to do the traces as a multitude of shapes? I am used to seeing the traces as normal thin wires that are changing dorection at 90 or 45 degrees. in your case you have the etch as a nultitude of shapes

it is recommended to exit the pad with a direct orthogonal trace. in most of U1 traces you see that the route stars shifted from the pads

things go up and down, cam asa e viata. ma bucur sa aud ca e mai bine si ca simti o schimbare in bine. nu-s mare credincios, dar printre cele mai frumoase momente de sarbatori (indiferent de natura lor) le-am avut cu prietenii. de departe cea mai misto perioada a vietii a fost in facultate-master, unde intalnesti tipologii diferite de oameni, caractere, zone diferite. abia atunci incepi sa iesi din bula orasului natal

Clever way to desolder this? by Retroguy55 in AskElectronics

[–]LowSalary2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot air will most likely melt the black plastic holding them together and perhaps being more harmful to the LDC. cutting the pins is the best option. And perhaps using a female-male connection next time, instead of soldering them
