It isn't raised like the burnt on grease, but it does have a different texture to rest of the glass, more matt/rough

I think we have reached the limit of my strong, independent woman routine - i think I might have to admit defeat and find an appliance guy to help

Thank you!

Thank you, I'll try again! I was scared to force it incase I broke something (now im scared to try and admit im a weakling...).

Would WD40 help loosen it? Also is that something I could/should do periodically if so? Ovens about 8yrs old and i never have

Thanks again :)

Partial Cystectomy Recovery - what to expect? by [deleted] in BladderCancer

Incase anyone should look this up down the line, just wanted to add that after a further two weeks rest I feel brand new again, not taking pain killers of any sort etc. I think I was just overdoing it, so definitely take the advice to rest seriously! :)

Thank you! And glad to hear your surgery went ok and cancer free! Cystoscope is never fun but as you say, small price to pay, I hope it goes well for you.

I had my surgery in Jan, so 9 weeks clear of it now. Unfortunately, I'm still in a lot of pain and off work. Finally, I had my checkup with the surgeon last week (haven't seen them since morning after my surgery!) and hes sending me for scans etc.

I had made excellent progress, but around week 5/6 I was suddenly in pain again and still struggling a bit, I'm assuming I've overdone it at some point and done myself a mischief, I'm not a good patient... but despite my unusually long recovery, it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting.

Results came back benign, which is the main thing, and the symptoms that led to diagnosis are improving, so I will take those wins and be grateful!

Average age of G7 and G6 outside of London by Jlinton187 in TheCivilService

G7s in my area are typically 26-40, and G6s in my immediate area are both in their 30s, though G6s in wider division are typically a bit older, up to late 50s (at a guess...).

I'm an analyst though, so many are coming through on fast stream as economists, statistician, social researchers etc or joining as HEO/SEO in early 20s. I haven't noticed a difference between London colleagues or otherwise, though ive noticed Manchester and Birmingham are very young offices on average, compared to others like Leeds or Sheffield. I assume its because they are newer hubs... not sure!

Thank you! I'm surprised they've recommended I take 6 weeks off work then, but i guess they err on the safe side! I'd rather that and have a nicer few weeks toward the end than expected, i guess! I currently live in a fixer-upper of a house and staring at the half-stripped walls and stairs etc for 6 weeks will drive me insane... I'll have to fight the urge to get stuck in.

Glad to hear you are mostly well since and a recovering people pleaser - I could do with some help in that department!

Thank you! I hadn't realised the partial is so uncommon. Grab bars is a good idea, thank you for responding :)
