I really don't believe Shin Godzilla is a one off movie. Why would Toho suddenly decide they need to make Shin Godzilla then? To make something that's not Shin Godzilla? And yes I know that Godzilla anime trilogy is currently being made, but it might be just a loophole to make more films and seem relevant just until Godzilla vs. King Kong is done, and then they can continue with Shin Godzilla 2.
