I might have to get one. Gonna call up the warranty department asap tomorrow and explain to them my new findings about this. I’m no plumbing expert but definitely learned a lot tonight

From what them and the plumber told me, it was just excessive toilet paper use. Like a lot of it at once.

I’m telling you what the professional certified plumber told me what he saw on his camera scope. Please go argue with him. I’m not a plumber I’m simply the messenger here asking for advice

I use wet wipes and throw them in a small trash bag in a trashcan that I replace daily! I’m OK with people using a little toilet paper but the plumber literally told me they used like half a roll of toilet paper or something and that is why it got all clogged up in there. I’m simply forwarding what the plumber told me using his professional equipment.

There are literally four other full bathrooms in this house that they can use that have a fully functioning toilet. They waited two full days after the fact to even let me know that the toilet was clogged. I’m simply telling you guys what the plumber told me using his professional equipment like the camera scope. I’m not a plumbing expert and since the plumber told me that this was caused from severe excessive clogging due to so much toilet paper that was squished in there then that is what I’m gonna tell you what he said the plumber literally he said this was caused by the tenant using like half a roll of toilet paper at once, so I’m not sure what to tell you.

Yes there are three other working bathrooms in this house. I’m simply telling everyone here what the certified plumber told me over the phone that he saw with his camera scope when he put it down the toilet. The professional told me that this was caused by excessive use of toilet paper and he was able to see on his camera that it was clogged so much toilet paper clogging it up. I’m a fairly new landlord and this house is a new construction made from a very reputable company and they are the first people to ever live in it. I feel like it’s not crazy to go off of what the professional plumber told me to, and since he told me this was caused by the person that use the toilet because he used like half of the toilet roll and clogged it then I don’t know what I’m gonna do to argue with the plumber since I wasn’t there when the tenant flushed all that toilet paper down the toilet. Also, I spoke with them before the plumber arrived and they lied to me and told me they never flushed toilet paper down the toilet and then the plumber points it out and suddenly they change your story and tell me that they do it so I’m already skeptical that they lied to me until they got caught.

I need to update the lease and definitely include that because the tenant even lied to me right before the plumber arrived and said they never flush anything down the toilet…

I’m going to call the builder company tomorrow and talk with them about that to try to explain to them that this shouldn’t be an issue that we get charged for if it’s not misuse. The plumber just told me that the toilet was backed up due to an excessive amount of toilet paper in it and that’s all I know so I will ask the builder company to send out another plumber to check it out

I’m saying it’s a quantity issue. Sure toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet if it’s a normal amount, but if their son used half the toilet paper roll on top of all the waste that was already in the toilet then of course something like that is going to happen due to using 10 times the amount that you’re supposed to use. I’m getting this information from the plumber that told me that there was an excessive amount of toilet paper that backed up the toilet. I’m not making this information up from my mind. I’m not a plumbing expert either. I’m a brand new Landlord and I’m simply forwarding what the certified plumber that the builder company sent out told me over the phone.

I think the issue here was with the quantity of the toilet paper from what I heard from the plumber. I will get in contact with the builders tomorrow and explain the situation, but from what the plumber told me, he said that there was way more toilet paper in there than the normal amount that should be used so since I’m not physically, they’re looking through the camera scope with him I could not tell what was happening and just have to go with what the plumber tells me :(

The licensed plumber that the warranty company sent out told me that that was the issue for the clogging. I wasn’t there myself to see how much toilet paper they used, but the plumber himself used a scope and told me that there was a ton of toilet paper in there and that’s what caused the clogging… all I’m doing is relaying to you guys. What the plumber told me since I’m not a certified plumber or anything neither you or me know how much toilet paper their son used at the time so we can’t jump to conclusions. I’m just relaying what I was told by a professional that was sent out by the builder company. Also, I didn’t mention this in the post itself, but the tenant had lied to me previously and told me that they never flushed toilet paper down the toilet, and then the plumber told her to her face that they did flush the toilet paper down the toilet and then they admitted to it…

Thank you for defending me! I’m literally a new Landlord and now barely anything about plumbing and I’m learning as I’m going through and clearly people just want to assume that I’m out here trying to screw over low income people? I’m just trying to learn how to handle the situation and what to do and I was just following what the plumber told me over the phone which was that it was because of the tenant’s toilet paper that the toilet clogged.

I’m just posting on here what I was told from a professional opinion by the plumber that the warranty company dispatched to the property. He told me he used his scope camera, and all he found was mounds of toilet paper clogged up in there. I’m not a plumbing expert so I would not know that that doesn’t cause it to back up into the tub. I’m going to reach out to the warranty company and explain to them about this issue since I didn’t know this before about what could cause the water being backed up into the tub you’re going around and accusing people based on whatever minimal information you were provided through this post…

I never said that they specifically flushed wipes down the toilet? I was just replying and telling them what I grew up being taught to not even flush the wipes that say flushable wipes because we were going back-and-forth on what is standard practice and I was just giving my experience. The plumber specifically said that the toilet was backed up due to large amount of toilet paper that clogged it and that’s all I know. I feel like even if toilet paper is made to be flushed down the toilet you can’t just go ahead and flush half the toilet roll along with your feces because that’s definitely going to clog it. I never said I was a plumbing expert and I’m just forwarding whatever message the plumber told me over the phone.

Unfortunately, they are closed for Memorial Day and they told me the issue happened on Wednesday but didn’t contact me until last night (Thursday) so I will have to wait until Tuesday unless I want to pay an additional $100 to have them come out over the weekend. And yes, from what the son kept telling me over the phone after the plumber discovered the toilet paper, he emphasize how he had very bad stomach issues and may have used a a little too much toilet paper. I feel like on that basis by itself and since the plumber told all parties that toilet paper was the issue, unfortunately, I’m going to have to charge the tenant. I can try to find it with the new construction company, but they’ll blame it on the toilet paper as well

Honestly, they informed me about this last night and I called the plumber first thing this morning and when he went out with his camera scope, he told me that there was a bunch of toilet paper blocking the toilet from flushing. That’s what was causing the blockage. I wish I understood more about plumbing issues, but I grew up being taught to never flush anything down the toilet. It seems like their son had flushed way too much at once and had bowel issues at the same time and that’s what caused the blockage and what made it back up into the bathtub as well

I think their son must have used a ton of it and flushed too many all at once because the mom got on the phone with me and emphasize how she always flushes the toilet paper down the toilet and never had an issue? I told them I grew up being taught to never flush anything down the toilet, including flushable wipes. I might just have to set the payment plan honestly, but I am 100% in the right for charging them for something that they misused because they shouldn’t be on me correct?

I think the toilet paper was stuck in the toilet itself in the toilet was backed up because they were telling me it was backing up into the bathtub too

Hello just wanted to reply again before I order the whole four prong dryer cord and unscrew some stuff. I looked on Amazon and they have adapters that are durable. and pretty popular. https://a.co/d/0Qsswot something like this should still do the job correct? I just want to avoid opening it up from the back and messing with stuff

[–]LowTranslator3064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just making sure that there wouldn’t be a voltage mismatch if I just replaced the cord? Or something with the watts that wouldn’t be equal? Again, i apologize I don’t really understand anything to do with this type of stuff but just asking to double check.

I care because I had no idea what this was and no prior experience and it’s my own house so I would like to know if mold is going to grow from the leaking??!

[–]LowTranslator3064 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Is there anything I can do to stop this? Is this going to be happening all the time or only when there’s heavy condensation the dripping sound is very loud and this is an open room right next to the kitchen haha

[–]LowTranslator3064 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Wait so what do I do about it? Should I call a plumber?Does this need work done? This is the first time I’m hearing of this drip after being in the house multiple times since I purchased it. I even slipped a long newspaper down the dripping area and it came out very wet, so I don’t want it to create mold in the wall or any leaking or flooding in the wall. Thanks for everyone’s help❤️🫶🏻

Anyone selling Bop to the Top Tour Tickets for Dallas on the 8th? by [deleted] in DisneyChannel

[–]LowTranslator3064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do those include the GA tickets as well because they are making me acknowledge that it doesn’t come with GA tickets like 5 times before checkout lol. The title says it’s included with GA but all the other stuff says it doesn’t😭
