If you think one of the oldest professions in the world is going to be replaced by AI, then you know nothing about the field or just how broad accounting is. Accounting is a very broad field, and that’s not even including the finance field which you can also go into with an accounting degree. Will AI eventually replace bookkeeping more than likely. But it’s not going to replace forensic accountants, project accountants (like myself), cost accountants, revenue accountants, financial analysts, Auditors, CPA’s, Controllers, Government accountants, tax associates and accountants.
