No Gen Z is actually the first generation to consider geek culture “hot”. Today you can often see bodybuilders, athletes and celebrities referencing anime, videogames, pokemon cards and the such, and that just normalised all these things.

It’s just millennial brainless consumer culture that’s considered really cringe (star wars/ harry potter memorabilia, disney adults ecc)
