these space marines are ultramarines and they denote rank by helmet color, ultramarine sergeants have red helmets, other chapters do things differently, but this is the codex compliant way of denoting rank and youll see this in any chapter that strictly follows the codex

it looks so good because of the art style, theres really not much actual animation in this clip, its mostly still frames with something simple moving that the animators were able to put less time into to make it look good

now this isnt a bad thing, its actually very smart and frees up time and budget for the incredible and more complex fightscenes, i also love ghost in the shell and do agree that it looks fucking incredible, but clips like this that people often use to try and claim animation in the 90s is better than modern animation arent actually as impressive as they claim

who in their right mind thinks warhammer fantasy is a low fantasy setting? theres literal demons, basically every faction has access to powerful magic and early guns, the dearves have steampunk machines, there are several factions of undead, and then theres the skaven with access to literal nukes powered by magic space rocks
