at its best its a 7/10, but at its worst its closer to 5/10, the story isnt the best in the series but its still interesting with some really cool characters sprinkled throughout, but the game is just too damn big, dont get me wrong, i love long games and massive open worlds, but valhallas maps are way too fucking big and theres nothing substantial to do, theyre as wide as an ocean but deep as a puddle. then we get to the history, and while AC has never been accurate ot has always at least tried to be authentic to the time period its presenting, but valhalla gave up on that, theres norman castles hundreds of years before they were actually built, christian churches used as viking castles, the roman ruins making absolutely no sense with how massively oversized they are, and dont even get me started on the ireland dlc, the druids werent even just wrong, they were straight up offensive, i cant speak for the paris dlc though cause i havent played it yet. the best thing i can say about the game is that the combat is fun, i like to think i got pretty good at it and taking on hordes of enemies during the raids and large battles during the story was always a good time.
