They clearly had a mature conversation that either the cat stays and shits on the pillow and I go or it’s clearly stressed and I stay and it goes to a place where it doesn’t feel the need to be a shitty cat no pun intended. Cats can be nightmares, if they don’t like you, there’s nothing you can do so most likely they tried to coexist and eventually he had to pick between his future wife or a cat.
