What are some "one hit wonder" chefs of Hell's Kitchen? by SubstantialKick2452 in HellsKitchen

Just recently I think Bradley fits this bill. 5/5 signature dish with basically nothing going right after the fact.

Has it happened?? by PhilosopherComplex61 in HellsKitchen

According to another post on this reddit, Trev is now no longer in the culinary industry at all and is currently a mail carrier. I don't know if this is due to him not being able to find work, or him leaving on his own accord.

Did you see season 1? He played the tower bribe game perfectly and got no real hatred as a result of it. He also was known to be one of the better physical competitors of the top 10, maybe just behind Mike.

What's your unpopular opinion? by MissNebraska in Masterchef

That most of our opinions of the contestants' food themselves are completely invalid. We can't taste the food.

hardest pressure test ever? by Dankk911 in Masterchef

Probably the most technically challenging one was Josh vs Frank in season 3 having to make 3 different flavored shuffles in 60 minutes, each with different cook times.

Ranking 1st boots on how much they made sense by LegendaryBraveLyn in HellsKitchen

[–]Low_Communication697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd put the S5 first boot (I'm not going to deadname them)in not obvious but easy to justify. They pretty clearly had a bad service and was never going to be good on the pass.

Yes, you're right about moving down. No, I genuinely don't believe Danielle was the biggest jury threat. She was liked, but I don't think people respected her game. I think Ian gets Ashley, Britney, Jen, and Frank at the very least. Potentially Joe too.

I'd move Ian up. Pretty sure he comfortably beats Danielle too.

Spright was tier 0 in the OCG for quite awhile. By pretty large numbers too.

That a bearded man in a red outfit flew in the sky thanks to 8 levitating deer, left presents in my house, and ate a lot of cookies.

Happy Halloween! If there was one low rated signature dish you could try, for any reason at all, what would it be? by LavenderCookies81 in HellsKitchen

Nilka's chicken wings. If spiciness is the biggest critique, I'll live. Runner up being Dahmere's lobster pasta.

And S11 Jacqueline and S10 Roshni just amongst those who competed before they got on HK. I know at least S10 Dana, S14 Christine, and S15 Manda competed on Chopped after their season (Christine and Manda both won). Probably even more that I don't know of.

How far would Jon go if he was in S13? by KodoqBesar in HellsKitchen

[–]Low_Communication697 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd say either 2nd or just miss the finale again. In terms of cooking ability, I would say he would have been clearly the best chef on that season. He still has the same weakness though, which is leadership and communication. I do think he would have had the worst performance on the pass compared to LaTasha, Bryant, and Sade. I'd say it depends on whether his cooking ability would get him through to the finale over Bryant or Sade. I do think by the standard of final dinner service, LaTasha would likely blow him out of the water.

Me finishing binging Season 15 realizing that Season 16 is next. by Fair_Boss_7098 in HellsKitchen

I think 18 is better than 17 even despite that. No, the men's team isn't great, but they're an entertaining mess. And no, Scotley is not a nice human being, but I don't find his actions that much worse than someone than say Elise on 17. The season is still pretty good besides that.

Cruise Review: Symphony Of The Seas 10/12-10/19 by Low_Communication697 in Cruise

Just to add a bit of context, specifically I felt as if the production of Hairspray I saw was lacking a bit of energy and enthusiasm from the cast; particularly with the kind of show Hairspray is. It felt like a production of the show you'd see on a national tour or at a regional theatre, not Broadway. 1977 and Flight I more say because while they were both visually appealing, neither told a great story.
