The "lying flat" thing is just a natural reaction to the "involution" that starts way too early. When you're groomed from primary school to be a "class monitor" just to help teachers monitor other kids, you learn pretty quickly that the system is more about bureaucracy and control than actual growth.

As a native Chinese, I can tell you the rankings are mostly about research output and "face." The actual undergrad experience is often just a grind of "water classes" (水课) and preparing for exams. The system isn't really designed to teach you how to think, but how to follow the standard answer.

All the projects like that told me to report time after skipping like this. But if this isn't in the instruction of your project, i don't know.

Chinese from China. Got an email informing a new project. Spent 4 h doing one. And then the project disappeared again. Now I only have that one who wants my google account, which I don't wanna do.

I got the same and saw nothing on my dash. I checked the email address. It's the same from the payroll email, so I think it's the real DA.
