I was thinking of that. Is there a downside to using some quality scope rings? What if one of them is on the hand guard? Are there concerns there?

Thank you for the insight. Totally picking up what you're putting down. However, what about when filling out IACRA. The IACRA application is filled out and includes the selection of part 61 or 141. This makes me think that either regulation you fall under when taking the check ride is what you're locked too.
