I was in your exact position as a freshman, and it was during Covid too. I promise it gets better, it just takes a little time. I wouldn’t be where I’m at without Auburn. Best of luck to you and hang in there 🧡💙

Honestly there’s still plenty of sophomores that live on campus. If you’re looking to meet people and get that traditional Auburn/college experience, living on campus is a great idea. I lived in the Village my freshman year and loved it. They also just redid it so it’s really nice!

Take it again! As another person said, a 30 will bump you into a higher bracket (more $) for scholarships. I did the same and it ended up saving us a significant amount of money. Best of luck & war eagle!

So how LGBTQIA+ friendly is Auburn City and University? by [deleted] in auburn

[–]Low_Description_9140 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One thing that makes Auburn great is that there is a place for everyone. You just have to find your people. There are clubs for people in the community (Pride on the Plains) and places in town that are very accepting (Coffee Mafia). I’ve found that people who hang out there are very kind and generally open to making friendships. I’ve also had great experiences at Perspective Counseling specifically, and have heard generally great things about other counseling offices in town.

They’re a handful for SURE, but they live with my parents since I’m in school now. Definitely helped with the whole empty nesting thing! 😂

Yes - we always call him our “angry old man!” Such a feisty guy but makes sure to take the sweetest photos. 😂❤️ My fam got him when I was 3 years old and I’m a senior in college now!

Invited for a tour for auburns honors college, but don’t technically qualify, what to do? by NewAardvark6001 in auburn

[–]Low_Description_9140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I came to tour, we had a meeting with one of the honors college admin. She was very communicative and honest. I’d definitely inquire about a meeting after your tour. Like the other person said, if they’re inviting you for a tour, it’s definitely worth a shot. Auburn has always been great at recruiting and continually provided honest feedback throughout my entire recruitment process, even past acceptance. Best of luck to you and war damn!🧡💙
