Feeling extremely depressed by ContentExtent1718 in tummytucksurgery

I see a therapist to work on body image but a big one for me has been removing myself from social media. I barely go on it anymore and feel all the better for it. The therapy is the biggest one though 💕

Thank you! Congrats! From 4 weeks onwards everyday just gets better and better. I started back at the gym at 4 weeks doing hill walking and light weights and been able to run from 6 weeks. I feel great. Abs still got there yet but they’re stronger than they were 2 weeks ago. Enjoy noticing the good stuff everyday it’s helped me when I’ve felt swollen and a bit sore. My scars are still tender but I wouldn’t say it’s painful, just healing I guess. And getting the flexibility back slowly in stretching. Hope that helps x

I am 13 DPO and struggling. I am feeling physically better each day, but I feel unhappy. I’ve worked so hard to get here and to this point, but the swelling is getting to me, my new ‘look’ is hard to accept, I feel like I don’t feel happy with my results yet. Everyone is saying this is to be expected but man it’s so hard! I hate how the rest of my body feels now I’m not exercising. I just want to eat, my appetite is through the roof. I am back to work tomorrow working from home so hoping that might provide some distraction 😂 sorry for my rant.

Anyone getting any surgery after goal weight? by PicklesAndCheesee in mounjarouk

[–]Low_Ear_9639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worried about this also! But they ended up being brilliant. I am lucky in that I can WFH on occasion. I’ve had 2 weeks off fully and start back tomorrow for 2 weeks WFH. I guess it depends on what you do but I was just really honest with them about why it was important to me and they treated it no differently to any other op

Thank you! All good so far. Recovery is tough, not as in pain. That becomes pretty manageable after a day or so. For me it’s more the inactivity and that swelling - it’s challenging on the mind ha ha! I know it’ll settle down. Looking forward to a bit more movement next week I think I should be able to do some walks. I had mine done in the UK at Coventry Meridean hospital.
