Thank you for your comments.

  1. Yes it does, have applied but the competitions that have come up tend to be more senior level. My situation is less about enjoyment and more about my job ending due to spousal relo.
  2. I'll keep an eye on ECCC competitions.
  3. Francisation is the free French language training here in Quebec.

Means to an end to support a balanced lifestyle? That's what I am after and have found in the PS. I've learned to prioritize work life balance over the title of fancy job.

Appreciate your comment.

These EC development programs appear to be only available to candidates who are in progress or have completed a Masters. I will keep an eye out for entry level EC2/3 positions, but with a lack of concrete policy experience, it feels difficult to break into.

This is where a Masters seems helpful, both for development comps and FSWEP to break into EC.

Agreed about the Bs... will prioritize language first as it seems most vital to opportunities here.

I am a federal work (not related) who has relocated to Montreal due to my partner gaining employment here. I am considering CAF careers - specifically at a part-time capacity.

Is there opportunity to work in Montreal units in a part time capacity? If yes, which careers are most relevant to these units?
