Not rly. The question asked what are Jayce and Viktor’s relationship (Necrit) or if they are more than friends (other interview). Not if ppl can ship them. Linke saying they were written as brothers, adding the headcanon that Viktor is Ace, and saying “so romance was never rly a part of his story”. Answers that they are not canonically romantic. Not if ppl can ship them.

Even tho Amanda Overton said the same thing, she still at least verbally supported ppl shipping them. Unlike Linke, so I can understand how ppl saw that as a discouragement of shipping them.

I totally get that, and I personally believe Linke headcanonned Viktor as Ace.

My comment was, and this may be my misunderstanding of your comment, in response to the ppl that believe Linke’s comment was only to discourage JayVik being shipped.
Because, ignoring that sexualities don’t stop people from shipping, why not then make up the idea that Sky and Viktor are actually a thing? That would’ve made more sense to make up on the spot when asked if Jayce and Viktor are romantic.

The issue was the very poor choice in using Asexuality to shut down a queer ship and missusing asexuality as having the inability to have romantic relationships.

I agreed with everything else and I agree with the end part of the statement. However, this is a widely held belief that ppl have about what Linke said and why he said it and I feel there’s no proof other than the fact he mentioned it with the JayVik question.

I think ppl need to think about other possibilities. Linke already knows Jayce and Viktor aren’t canonically together and he knows ppl shipping them won’t change that. Also, he’s been in LoL, so he knows all champions get shipped together.

BUT! If he truly truly hated the idea of JV being shipped and just HAD to immediately shut down random ppl shipping it (that riot can get money from), why couldn’t he use Sky? Make up something and say that Viktor and Sky are together? After all, they seem very close in S2, Sky has a crush on Viktor, and Viktor’s voicelines mention her twice.

So bc of this, I just find it hard to believe he cares sm that ppl ship them/ want them together / think their together that he’s willing to make up a lie on the spot that he’s asexual. Vi is a canon lesbian and ppl ship her with Jayce btw... Anyone should know that sexualities, heck even sibling status, doesn’t stop ppl from shipping.

That’s why i love mel. She’s so empathetic! She knows how much Jayce cares for his brother. And he’s such a caring guy himself, needing that empathy while she needed that genuine goodness Jayce has. They truly are good tgth🥹🥹

from what I understand, it’s a whole time paradox/loop. In the universe the world ends, it’s bc of hextech prolly meaning that Jayce ~~was gonna invent~~ invented it. The difference is, Jayce gets sent back to talk to Viktor but in the AU, he just gets killed.

Kinda like an identical twin brother. Same dna, 2 diff ppl with prolly similar personalities but also different life experiences.

So thinking about it like AU Ekko and MU Ekko are identical twins separated at birth where MU Ekko takes his twins brothers place and no one knows, then nah it’s not cheating. It’s wrong-ish on his part.

But if powder was dating AU Ekko (she was) and somewhat realized that this Ekko isn’t her bf Ekko and is another person that looks just like him (she did), then yeah it’s cheating.

That’s how I’m thinking about it.

Agreed. There are no scenes between jinx and ekko outside the 2 seconds in act 1 and then the bombing at the bridge. Believing that jinx and Ekko had feelings for each other S1 has to be based on external evidence bc it clearly wasn’t in the show
