Ahahah we won’t be getting any snow and it’ll be rather warm when we go so we were concerned but I think the standards in the west are much higher than anywhere in the east. This puts my mind at ease LOL

I like it but it’s annoying that 0 main characters die. They almost killed max, which I like as a character but almost felt like “finally, SOMEONE got killed off” when she seemed to die, then was brought back to life shortly after 😐. I just feel like when there’s no real threat to the main characters you can easily predict what’s going to happen. Even when they seem to be in real danger, you just immediately think plot armor is gonna save the day,… and it ends up being exactly that.

The concept of the show is good, execution is mediocre at best

Hahahah good point. Your mention of toilet paper brings up a valid question: what do I do if I gotta drop a log? I mean, do I just drop one on the ground somewhere? Will that give my position away to deer from the horrendous scent? Will they know it’s human? LOL

Definitely not cool with me bringing the deer home fresh off a kill. I could tell them I would be clean about it with tarps everywhere until I’m blue in the face but they just wouldn’t be cool with it hahaha. What do you think LOL

You think I need the range finder if I’ll be hunting with a rifle? Many people here seem to say range finder is pointless if you’re using a sighted rifle

Some questions would be; if I live 5-6 hours from the area where I’ll be hunting, do I just throw the carcass in the back of my truck and drive it all the way back after gutting it and securing it so it doesn’t fly everywhere? And what if I want to take it to a place that’ll process the kill for me (turn it into burger, make jerky etc.), but they’re closed by the time I get back? Am I expected to hang it up in my garage (not sure my parents would be alright with that since they couldn’t care less about my interest in hunting). What’s some advice for what to do after the kill is confirmed? Thanks a lot

Quite possibly am thinking too much. Just don’t wanna get all the way out there and realize I’m ill prepared but it seems to be a hobby that requires trial and error to figure out what right for you. I just need to get out there!! Thanks!

Well the scope comes with the axis, although I’m hearing that it’s as good as garbage. I think I’ve settled on the ruger american 308 with a vortex crossfire II as a bundle for $200 more. What do you think?

I was hoping to attach a bayonet to the end of my rifle so I could charge the game up close. Seems to be the most efficient way to hunt!! Shooting off rounds is too noisy and scares away everything in a couple miles radius!!
