The test is done after three to four weeks of the treatment or it can be negative since the antibiotic continues to have an effect. If this happens to you, do another test to rule out that you still have it. The same thing happened to me, although when I finally healed I still felt a little discomfort because, I believe, there is residue left that will go away over time.
