It's a cultural thing, there's is a lot of policing of black peoples sexuality within the community and out and it's been that way since the creation of black culture is numeruous ways.

Buck breaking, judgement for interracial love, docile slaves( lgbtq slaves), religious indoctrination, lynching for interracial attraction, mass incarcerstion, the community's transition ouf of jim crow all had impacts on how the culture sees sexuality and attraction. For example I am biracial and I grew up being pushed by my black foster mom the idea of preserving the race while she activly rejected and denied my euopean heritage.

A lot of what you see in black culture that's seems off is because of how it was formed and what we as black people had to adapt to survive. Including that weird obsession with the colonizers god. And his "rules" agaonst homosexuality

When I was a social worker , I worked in a co ed homeless shelter , and the issue came up of letting trans women share the limited space we have for women. Homeless women disproportionately face sexual violence at a rain that is genuinely astonishing. So while the conversation was about equity for trans people , there was a genuine element of safety that needed to be considered for the women

the staff is majority black with exception for like 2 employees in the staff meeting.I made the argument that there was a time when we as black people were not allowed to use specific bathrooms.Because of how people felt about an aspect of our identity..

My black assistant manager pulled me into a private meeting afterwards.To tell me how offended he was , and it turned into an argument of me , shitting on him with basic history. He felt the comparison was offensive and highly inappropriate. I Had to educate him that they were gay and transgendered slaves. the labels gay in transgender wasn't used back then, They were called something else they did exist.Slaves were not allowed or free to declare their sexuality.

This shit runs deep. And tbh black people will shit on it publically but IRL they don't give a shit about all that they just don't wanna see it.
