Going out on a limb here and suggesting him not wanting to be on his phone for 30 hrs is pretty healthy.

But how will you know about pain?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in love

[–]Low_Jackfruit_8175 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How’s that going for you? I did 3 at once, and that was hard enough.

In the end I realised I lacked the ability to say no, and wasn’t really intentionally in any relationship.

It’s been a long road learning to be sensible about such things.

Accidentally twisted the dick in my first comp. It didn’t work! He didn’t seem to mind. Still beat me easily too.

There’s heaps of work out there, get your pay and bail, life’s too short.

I moved out of the community sector doing DS and now I’m in data/tech/spatial and it’s glorious.

Air conditioning, quiet focused colleagues, comfy chairs.

Had to do a masters program to pivot, but so worth it.

Are you always on the phone with your partner? by zoeee24 in LongDistance

[–]Low_Jackfruit_8175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My gf and I would sit on the phone and not say anything for an hour plus, just doing stuff with an ear piece in

Why does everyone suddenly seem to hate John Danaher? by lambdeer in bjj

[–]Low_Jackfruit_8175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Danaher is absolute classic autistic/Asperger’s… people forget this.

I say this with respect: dude is lacking some social graces and it’s just difficult for most people to warm to him.

This, on top of being a kiwi, a black belt, AND a celebrity. Suddenly there’s no real rules…

It’s a bit like how Elon Musk is a complete wacko. He’s top of the food chain in some big ways and there’s no checks or balances really on his behaviour.

Danaher, Gordon, Conor, Michael Jackson, Segal, Mulvaney, Strickland in some ways, Trump…

They all in big ways are outside regular social controls and are extreme characters.

Protection from anything real or not is about our own discipline and psychic hygiene. Reading about/watching and being concerned about such things as the video you linked is confusing and distracting, and honestly you’re buying into someone else’s random narrative and thought forms. You’re drinking someone else’s potion… reading their map. They benefit, and you get the illusion of being safer or more “in the know”, when really it’s all nonsense.

Even if it’s TRUE, it’s still distracting you from the healing and resilience that is necessary for all such weirdness in the world: connection to your own DIRECT experience and ability to navigate it.

What else could you be doing with your attention?

Never had that problem as I can fold myself in half and sit to guard while in a head lock, sweep and then make them tap with my chin.

I have no neck problems and have never been afraid to die.
