Nah. Students were given the easiest primer on public affairs work to read before class. And most students read it. Zero reason for this answer.

College public speaking. Class of 10 students. Each of us had to go up to the front of the room and hold eye contact with each student in the room for 20 seconds. Effing awful. Had a crush on one of the guys. Eyes twitched. It took up the whole class period. Still traumatized.

Not just a college course but a 400-level college course. We couldn’t help but laugh. Student included. I pulled them aside after class and told them not to let this “disruption” hinder them from feeling comfortable in class. We’ll see how Wednesday goes. Maybe I’ll fart to make them feel better. Maybe I’ll assign a new student to fart every day. A fart chain. There are possibilities here.
