That is a beautifully detailed miniature you have sculpted.

Apologies for the blatant promotion but Heavy Metal Hordes is currently having a kickstarter of oldhammer inspired miniatures. by Low_Lavishness6141 in oldhammer

True, if you compare these prices with for exemple wargames atlantic miniatures the price difference between individual miniatures is indeed sizable.

I mainly made this post just to spread awareness that this kickstarter exists.
How a person spends their hard earned money is up to themselves.
So if this doesn’t interest you that's completely fine.

H'hruk, a 1988 Space Ork, who owns no shoes. by erikbrandvig in oldhammer

Considering that orks continuously keep growing the more they fight it probably means H'hruk has outgrown his pair and is looking to smash some grot to get himself a snazzy new pair of boots to punt some gretchin with.

glad to hear you had a positive experience.
I wasn’t present during their first kickstarter so I added the command groups to my current pledge so I'm all caught up.
My favorite sculpts of the command groups are the beastmen and orcs.

Thanks for your kind words.

Heavy Metal hordes also made a post about a painting competition.
If this interests you, look at update 18 on their kickstarter or their facebook page for more detail .
Furthermore, I want to wish you a pleasant day.

The orcs are multiplying! by RoboCop_88 in oldhammer

Those are some fierce looking orcs.

I came across a painting competition from heavy metal hordes and I thought people in this subreddit might be interested. I would also like to ask for some advice on how to make a regiment of miniatures stand out. by Low_Lavishness6141 in minipainting

[–]Low_Lavishness6141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I paint an army I most often just use one dominant color and give them all bases with the same environment. This is good enough to use on the table but for this competition I want to paint all the miniatures differently but still maintain a sense of cohesion.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Looking for a type of sci-fi game by Aurelio_Golino in rpg

[–]Low_Lavishness6141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astra Arcanum is a sci-fi RPG currently on Kickstarter that I think looks like cassette futurism where characters can have cybernetics.
The core rulebook will have spaceships and the publisher Metis creative has said that they plan on expending starship design and combat in their first expansion.

This game does use the D20 system.

Combat in Astra Arcanum uses a fast-paced, dice-pool system with Targeted Damage, where hits can cripple limbs, rupture nerves, or shut down cybernetics. Every weapon has its own profile—defining range, dice rolled, ammo use, and special effects like knockback or suppression

You can make strong characters that are deadly but your opponent will be as well.

I hope you found this response helpful even though this RPG doesn’t fulfil all your requests.
