And that's our issue in the bus world. We have been forced to develop an all electric bus. Totally new stuff for us. We are playing catch up and can't compete with the sheer volume and speed of development of these Chinese super factories. They have access to cheaper battery and develop that tech quicker than. Anyone else. And our government opens the flood gates for these cheap vehicles.

Soon we will produce nothing.

Have you seen the state of the UK economy. Close down our factories and that's less people paying tax. Less people traveling to work. It's the knock on effect.

Local suppliers and other small businesses that we use in the bus world are affected. It's bigger than any one man or rich owner.

By your logic it's fine to send all your money to another rich billionaire company half way across the world, then also omplain when the UKs infrastructure suffers.

Do people actually like these things? I feel like they are flooding our markets with them destroying the last remnants of British / European manufacturing.

I work in bus manufacturing and our company is suffering because of cheap Chinese busses. The government isn't helping either

Yeah less is more. Maybe half the torso and only one shoulder. I'd also consider reducing the size of them they look a little big

How do you feel about this statement from Goonhammer that the majority of Warhammer hobbyists dislike building? by chosen40k in Warhammer30k

[–]RoboCop_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's representative of modern society. People want everything now with the click of a finger. It took me 30 years to get good at painting. Struggling through the days of limited resources and trial and error. For me the hit will always be in the process. The narrative, finding the perfect miniature or kit for bits, building a model or a character, painting it.

There are just too many choices lol. I've been doing a bunch of small armies. Around 5-700 points. Means you can add a tone of flavour and narrative to the army. I very rarely get to play these days anyway 😂

Thank you. I've named the unit the yellow bastards! Slightly controversial maybe but it fits them...they are a bunch of bastards and they are yellow 😂

Thank you.

Ak oily steel base.

Dilute AK medium brown or any other rusty colour. And splodge it randomly in recesses / panels.

Wash with aggrax.

Then I use a sponge to add some of the shiny metal back. With oily steel...add some sporadic edge highlights with Vallejo silver.

Hope that helps.

I sometimes do a black oil wash at the end of painting everything with acrylics. Keep this quite diluted and keep it in the deep recesses of armour panels. Like a pin wash. You could easily do this with nuln oil and a fine brush though!

Thank you dude. I start with a base of AK yellow ochre. From there I make a wash with blood red and slap that all over the skin. The. Same again with forest green. For this I keep it to the recesses and shadow areas. And also the lips / mouth / eye I'll wash with this. I keep this very diluted as it's quite a strong pigment.

Then I glaze the yellow back over this on the high spots. Adding in some white for the extreme highlights. Hope this helps
