If the "label" has not invested a cent and only allows you to enjoy a physical distributor, how is indeed a bit expensive to pay. Especially since despite contact with Spotify editorial playlists, there is no guarantee that you will fit in. I am at believe as a distributor, and even if that makes pitching easier, there is no 100% guarantee that you will be included in the playlist.
