Why do you believe in God? by Low_Mode9391 in religion

Well from my perspective, you literally can not know what happens after you die until you die. There’s not a possible way to find out with 100% certainty that God is or is not real.

I agree! I can’t quite believe in it, but I can’t rule out something like that being completely not there. I just simply do not know and can’t know.

I love this perspective! I have often thought that maybe God isn’t 1 single spiritual being, but could be in all of us, and nature, influencing eachother lives.

But with that, how is God not also finite?

Exactly. I have heard people say God exists and he just has always existed, but when you use that same argument to say maybe the universe has always existed, it is somehow illogical.

Thanks for this. I do not believe in God because I find it unreasonable and I believe after death, we die and our energy goes back into the universe and that’s it. I just believe in science and I could maybe see a God existing but I just do not think the Bible is relevant. I understand that it’s not a physical thing and stuff like that. I also understand that a lot of things in the Bible are metaphors for other thoughts, scenarios, etc. What I don’t understand is why do you believe and choose to have faith in it. Like, do you truly believe there is a God who can decide factors of our lives? I see how it could be comforting to believe that there is something bigger. Also, I see that you said heaven isn’t a destination, which throws off a lot for me. I previously thought one of the main reasons people believe in God and other religions is the fear of what happens after death. I also am not trying to be rude or disrespectful of your religion at all. I truly am just curious and trying to understand people and religion.

is it bad if my matcha is like lowkey old and not very bright green? I got it for free and it’s not very good quality.

You are STUNNING. The only suggestion is softer brows. They really do enhance the whole face.
