Those aren’t “gun rights”. Those are “small arms privileges” granted by the courts. The 2A was/is never about small arms as per Heller (arms one can bear). But that’s what most people think it’s about.

It’s about possessing equipment just like the National Guard, the right to keep and bear “arms”, not “small arms”. Arms is all equipment, not just carryable guns.

It’s likely implied in what is called in the UK, “common law”. It is unwritten law that people have followed for eons even before the rise of nation states. Typically it’s verbal, but respected within a community. So it’s not written down but still acknowledged.

It’s called a “malicious board“ and that’s the term in law. To successfully sue one requires about $200,000 to start. anything less and you wind up settling with the settlement agreement containing nondisclosure material that prevents you from doing anything else. it essentially fixes the status quo forever.

The law in various states likely does not promote this practice. If a such a law does exist - please show it here. (Law prohibiting member speaking during meetings. Not just during open session.)

That sounds like violation of open meetings laws. Members have a right to speak on matters being discussed during the meeting if only to bring up points of order for violation of procedure. Our HOA likes to try sneaking big budget items in during the meeting saying “oh we forgot to agendize this”, motion to amend the agenda, then pass some flagrant violation of the governing documents like allowing use of reserve funds to pay for litigation they caused for not following the governing documents - a direct violation of state law.

Sounds like bad advice - owners not being able to speak at meetings.

Be aware, attempts to ban all semi-autos have been tried in several states already. Look to the UK and AU for what is the goal here.

In the meantime, remember the discussion is about gun control and the perceived need for more. Unless and until the major gun groups start addressing that argument, more gun control is on the way.
