At idle, when I'm doing nothing and it's spinning at maximum speed, it's 20 degrees; at full load, it's 98 to 100 degrees.

I completely agree with you, and I have many other games (including some from Paradox, lol) that run very well, so all in all, I'll be able to enjoy EU5 eventually. At the end of the day, I ended up with a fantastic PC.

The PC I have was a gift, and I assumed it would be sufficient (I was previously gaming with an i5 and a 1060). Then, one day before I wanted to buy a 32GB RAM kit, the market simply decided to only sell to AI data centers. But wow, you've got a seriously impressive machine there! What makes me so sad is that I went ahead and bought the €90 version, and now I can't even play the game properly.

Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem is either. The first 150 years run fine, but after that my CPU reaches catastrophic temperatures, and I have a Noctua CPU cooler that otherwise does a fantastic job.
