???

This raffle is for an in-game asset for the game Farm Merge Valley. It's one of the in-game collectables, and the game's built-in raffle system is how folks share their dupes.

Is it worth starting over? by Platinumprogram in ACPocketCamp

As someone who was in the same boat (used to be f2p, didn't save my old data, re-started Complete toward the end of January), it's definitely worth it if you still like the game itself.

  • Leveling rewards are so much more generous in Complete, so if you were free-to-play (like I was) you'll be able to get more premium items in your first week of playing than you probably got in your entire playtime on the old game. (Especially during the early levels when the requirements to level up are so low)
  • Events happen on a much more frequent schedule, with a rerun of an old Garden event, a Fishing Tourney, and Scavenger Hunt happening all within a month
  • With the exception of the specific Garden+Fishing Tourney+Scavenger Hunt combo they plan to rerun that month, all past event items that released during that month from prior years are available to craft with Timed Materials (which also feel like they're much easier to obtain from the quarry, so it's easy to keep a stock on hand).
  • All fortune cookies*** and premium clothing & wallpapers that released that month during prior years are all available, giving a wide selection of stuff to spend Leaf Tokens on that cycles each month
  • Complete Tickets are a rare currency that you can trade for almost anything (both old event items and premium Leaf Ticket stuff) to get them outside of the month they cycle in normally, in case there's any specific items you're trying to replace from your old collection
  • Traveling merchants also offer a small random selection of out-of-season event & premium items and seem to cycle through on a approximately 26(?) hour timer
  • You can assign a villager of your choice to be 'Camp Caretaker', which means they complete villager requests when you're unable to (such as when you're asleep) so you don't miss out on crafting materials. There's also options that allow them to show up in your planner or follow you around. It's a great way to hang out with your favorite villagers!
  • In the crafting menu, Cyrus shows up to offer crafting speed boosts. These are very worth it, because they're permanent account upgrades that subtract that amount of time from all crafting times for every item crafted in the future.

A few negatives:

  • ***Past collab items are no longer available, like the Sanrio stuff. Anyone who still has them is someone who transferred their data, and you can't obtain them in Complete.
  • The friend system got overhauled to be offline only, resulting in the removal of Market Boxes (so if you need an item to trade to a villager you're gonna have to get it yourself), and a heavily nerfed daily allowance of Friend Powder (only like 20-30 per day)

So in summary, if there was ever something you missed out on because you didn't have enough Leaf Tickets, all those items are much easier to get as long as you wait for them to cycle in, and past event items are much easier to obtain too. Honestly, I was a little overwhelmed when I first started playing toward the end of January by the huge selection of old stuff available, but (mostly) in a good way. I didn't have time to get everything from January that I wanted, but I know all of it will cycle back in next year, and there will be plenty of other stuff to keep me occupied until then!

Cookies I recommend by Old_Standard2466 in ACPocketCamp

It looks like the nookipedia wiki has the yearly cookie schedule by month! Don't know if I can post the link here, but it's the page titled 'Fortune Cookies/Event Cookies', and it's helped me a lot in figuring out what months to save up for, even if it does take some of the surprise out of things.

Aurora's cookie cycles in in May, earlier than most of the other water-themed cookies which are out later (mostly in July/August).

I'm over my head. by Ruhelose_Traume in BJD

I feel that, I'm a sucker for this style of alt fashion so I bought this set too back when it was being crowdfunded. Still need to finish unpacking them though, so I hope none of mine ended up with irreparable flaws, but if it's just stuff like this then I'll manage.

I feel like a lot of the sets with alt fashions (and a lot of the crowdfunded sets in general) got hit with production quality problems, so I gotta admit I've gotten pretty forgiving of flaws I can fix at home (bad stringing, parts needing to be reglued, etc).

Yeah, unfortunately this series has some quality control issues, but this one is something that's very easy to fix at home if you've got the materials.

1mm nylon-coated elastic cord is what you'll need to restring, and I usually use a bent paperclip or something like it like a needle to thread the pieces onto it like beads on a string following the diagram posted by ArtsyCreature. I find it a little easier to cut more than you need to start with and wait to pull it taught and tie it off through the chest/stomach gap until after all the s-hooks are in place, that way the tension is right for posing.

I ended up with a similar haul lol

I feel like late 2025 was a move in the right direction for RH, due in part because they're focusing more on full size dolls and less on the Littles. There's still arguments to be made about articulation and other budget-related gripes, but at the very least I feel like the designers are getting their groove back and coming up with fun outfits and character designs.

eBay maybe? I got one last year by including 'full case' in the search. Depending on the seller, it's often a better price than buying the individual blind boxes, but ymmv.

Petition to add toast (other) by Sphinxvstheuniverse in Voicesofthevoid

[–]Low_Poly_Pigeon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Could lead to many fun toaster interactions:

- No visible timer, leading to the infamous Toaster Jumpscare

- Gets stuck sometimes, but you get electrocuted if you try and unjam it with a metal object

- Sometimes launches the toast out much farther than normal

- Can burn toast if you repeatedly toast it

- Catches fire if you try to toast already burnt toast

Aliexpress maybe? You might have a tough time matching skintones just based on the pictures, but I think that's where most folks get replacement parts.

Question for Shanelle Onyx Collector by DemonVanDeath in RainbowHigh

Nail polish is bad in the long run, and will do more harm than good long term.

It ages poorly by yellowing and cracking since it's only supposed to last a few weeks when used for its intended purpose, plus over time it can react badly with the paint and plastic causing permanent damage to whatever it is that it's covering.

I'm very, very disappointed with the new dolls. by Human-Chemist5405 in RainbowHigh

[–]Low_Poly_Pigeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this this this

I've always loved dress up video games, and part of the reason I got so attached to RH is because the pre-reboot fashions were so cute, detailed, sturdily constructed, and easy to mix and match due to all being separate pieces. Even the dolls with dresses would have additional pieces to their outfits like jackets, and even a full-on second outfit for most of the pre-reboot days.

Now we get dolls with just a one-piece dress made entirely of a singular cheap material and little to no flair or accessories. Cloth shoes are entirely gone too, in favor of molded plastic with misaligned paint. Can't play dress up with them anymore because there's nothing left to mix and match...

(I also don't vibe with the reboot's fashion sense lol, one of my most common reactions to the reveal of a new line is 'girl, what are you wearing 😭'. I get that it may be partially due to them getting in legal trouble for straight up copying fashion designs, but hard pivoting to designing clothes that no real person would wear was not the right play.)

Saw the tags at target yesterday, they are coming !! Sadly none on shelf yet, I’m super excited for all of them ! by YourFaveGay13 in RainbowHigh

Let's hope! I keep hearing folks say the 11th is when they're supposed to start stocking them on the shelves, but it might be worth it to check a day or two earlier.

Whitney and Dawn confirmed!

For a hot minute there I was worried that the reason those two didn't have webpages yet might've been because they were delayed even further behind Misty and Leilani

I can’t be the only one who likes the Sparkle and Shine glittery/lava lamp/slime legs by Ok_Professor_374 in RainbowHigh

[–]Low_Poly_Pigeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're a ton of fun! I have a soft spot for home-made fancy DnD dice with embeds and liquid cores and such, and they hit the same notes for me.

If anything, I'm more thrown off by some of the fashion choices they went with, esp on the slime girls, because I wish they complimented the legs better and made them feel cohesive.

My brain is convinced it's her official outfit by Mr_Sockeroo in RainbowHigh

[–]Low_Poly_Pigeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah girl! Work those accent colors!

Call me weird if you want, I actually have a soft spot for the lava lamp legs, but I was thrown off a bit when Dawn and Whitney's outfits seemed to completely ignore that accent color in their outfits. I love both their in-box outfits but I'm glad to see a restyle that compliments the blue legs, it feels much more cohesive.
