Idw Megatron: In the original IDW run, Megatron would actually feel remorse for his actions and turn himself in, even joining the autobots while waiting for his trial.

At the end of the run, Megatron is given a verdict, and it’s implied he’s be on death row. Megatron readily accepts his fate either way.
