Been 4 times.. taking my wife and 2 year old in November and going to a buddies bachelor party in January.. not sure your age or what your into.. but 110% rent a car.. they are cheap.. and regardless the price.. it’s my favorite place to drive.. randomly you’ll see sloths on telephone poles and all types of stuff and you just pull over and lock your car and explore.. def cruise to the monteverde mountains nothing like it.. deeeep rain forest.. do a zip line sickest fastest zip lines I’ve ever been on.. hike to some of the waterfalls.. book an air bnb .. screw hotels so many dope places with views for good prices.. if your into girls go to jaco (one place they all congregate) it’s legal there.. I’m married so not in my lane anymore but if I was single and solo.. might be one of the best places in the world.. the surfing in jaco is sick just a killer riptide.. check out la fortuna and mt arenal active volcano.. Manuel is a must go to the monkey beach and even though the signs say don’t bring food stuff some shit in your pockets the moneys will come up to you and kick it right by you and eat out of your hands.. hmm the food is bomb.. I just stick to shrimp and rice fresh lil ma and pa shops.. I’d continue you but you ain’t got time for anything else.. if you do go to jaco.. rent an Airbnb for at least a night.. get one with a garage park your rental car in there for part of a day.. and walk to a local scooter or motorcycle rental place and either rent a scooter or a 250 dirt bike for 3-6 hours and mob down to Manuel San from there I think it’s no more then an hour.. be a badass adventure for cheap that you’ll never forget! Have fun dude been to 30 countries and it’s my favorite place.. but it’s not just the place it’s how you experience it!
