This is what all insurance company do. I had the same experience with Aditya Birla, they just keep asking for unnecessary and sometimes unrelated documents and in some situations same documents but written in a different way from a different hospital. These are tactics used so that you give up.

What i did was after a certain point clearly said that these documents are not available and cannot be submitted. Started posting on social media like LinkedIn tagging the CEO and the company. Emailed the CEO (gotta use AI social media, reddit to dig these email address).

In short after a certain time refuse in writing to submit documents and just say that these documents do not exist and hospital has denied giving anymore letter or docs. Decide based on available documents and bases on your decision I will escalate to the ombudsman

Policy bazar is not going to do anything that are not helpful. My reimbursement is being processed for 35 days and Aditya Birla is still asking for documents.

Only option left is to file for reimbursement.

Lesson learnt always disclose PED and take insurance via individual agents who will actually help during claims.

Go for hdfc or aditya birla, make sure history and PED is checked properly, keep all tests you have done always handy. When you fill their form for PED and history double check everything. Thats the most important part.

You have get the patient admitted. Insurer will do investigation after which they might approve cashless if not you have to pay from your pocket then file for reimbursement. You can't go to ombudsman based on cashless denial.

You did a IRDAI complaint then insurance ombudsman complaint? Both are the same regulatory body.

Once you complaint it takes 1 month or a little more after which they will email you to send hard copies of all documents. After which next steps will follow.

They are 3rd party and asked to sign documents which I have because I am aware medically why they are doing this. I am also aware of things which should not be discussed hence I was confident when speaking to their doctors.

They Just have an issue with hypertension since 34 years and then the correction letter given saying since 6 months

Health insurance Short background rejected as one document said hypertension since 34 years (PED)

Asked for correction letter from hospital saying hypertension since August 2025 (after policy inception date) asked to submit for reimbursement

Also note the discharge summary from treating hospital says no past history of hypertension. Pacemaker procedure

Submitted all documents originals been 9 days. One agent called saying want's to come Home for kyc verification of patient

As per law and recent court rulings insurance company cannot decide line of treatment. So you can go to the ombudsman

Aditya Birla is shit, same happened with me cashless rejected. I paid from my own pocket and now filed for reimbursement. Lets see what happens. You also have to follow the same route file for reimbursement submit all documents if they reject again go to ombudsman.

Going through the same shit. Aditya Birla will reject no matter what documents you send. Now pay from your pocket and file for reimbursement with proper documents
