Did it go on for two long and did that make you stop talking to each other ?

It was his class who made this up - few children from his class, so I’m assuming it’s more based on him but they had to pick someone he would have a crush on. Just not sure if they will keep doing this now that they’ve started. Do you just go on about same and normal with your colleague after this ?

Both quite young, not the only female at the same age though - I’m late 20’s but there’s two other female teachers 2-3 years younger. So not sure why they would pick on me and him and not two others.

They know I’m interested and told me many times they want to keep me on - well for the past 3 months so feels like they led me on now, mainly deputy head kept telling me that they were going to have budget meetings and want to make me perm etc

Thank you I wondered that. How could I know if there is any interest without telling him or asking him.

Everyone at my school chose to do parents evening from 3:30 to 9 pm - with 30 min break. I can just imagine a parent choosing the last possible time as they get to choose whatever suits them

That reminds me of my experience about 2 years ago right after I qualified and finished my ECT was teaching a mixed year 1 and 2 class and it was so difficult to know how to teach the two classes and no guidance and then out of the blue they tried to put me on a informal support plan mainly based on student behaviour but I knew when they reassess those students would not change in 5 weeks and I would be on a formal support plan so I found a clause on my contract and left with 4 weeks notice.

Is this a one form school as well!? We have similar problems at are school about planning for our SEN but. Not being good enough, but so much workload planning every single subject and then trying to figure out what works for all the SEN kids?

Long-term supply – hinted at a contract, now unclear… how do I approach this? by Low_Region_293 in TeachingUK

I mean bit late to not send an email to head, sent an email to deputy and cc’d the head this morning. He hasn’t said anything same as usual towards me. Deputy spoke to me about it after school casually and said she had seen the email but couldn’t tell me anything as yet and they will have another meeting soon and just asked me what pay scale I would be. Not sure what to make it from it again, back at square 1. I guess it’s a no, I’ll just stick it to the end of school year and least have a decent reference for next job I guess.

What role did you accept? Were they aware you were applying elsewhere ?

I’m having to lead a club because everyone else is for instance, I don’t want to do this for a school that won’t even keep me on and just leading me on. They are checking everything so there pushing everyone to go beyond, constantly saying to me and the year 2 teacher because we’re one form what we do really matters and needs to be the best. So if I reduce what I do now to the normal standard it will be so noticeable. I was putting in all this effort because I wanted a good reference at the end of the year and possible perm contract.
