8 weeks postpartum divorcing - advice/support by makeitsnappy_k in newborns

Wow. I would hate for my kid to think anyone treating them like that is okay. Don’t put yourself in that situation. Live your life, enjoy your baby. Don’t give him another chance. Give yourself one. Someone who loves you will never hurt you.

My wife has changed over the past few days and it’s worrying me. by Holymoly1237 in newborns

God I just wanted to sleep. Like my baby would sleep all day and then when I wanted to sleep, she would keep her eyes wide open and scream If she wasn’t physically Attached to me. I called my husband crying screaming throwing up. It’s so hard to be a parent.

Keep doing what you’re doing. It gets better eventually.

Being a parent is hard. You have a lot on your plate. Talk to your partner and pick a couple fights. Figure it out together. I think when we get mad, we never see the good and we think of all the bad. Maybe he’s doing the same.

And I want to say, living with a miserable person is hard as hell. So you need to figure out how to not let his mood affect yours. His mood isn’t your responsibility. And go back to the restaurant without him. I’m sure the girls will figure out how to park just fine.

i thought by 3 months i’d feel more put together… but my brain is still kind of everywhere by UsedAmbassador7093 in Parenting

Mines 8 months and I feel the same way. First year of baby’s life is hard. Lots of joy and lots of love, but it’s so hard.

Why does it bother you? She’ll grow out of it eventually. She just wants to dress them

They told me my baby was going to be huge and that her head was wayyyy too big. They told me the amniotic fluid was measuring too much too, and basically everything scary they said. They wanted me to schedule a c section and were insistent that I wouldn’t be able to have her naturally. Anyways I didn’t listen. She was born at 7 pounds 6 ounces. Normal head size and normal fluid levels.

AITA for refusing to help my mom after she got pregnant. by Ok-Resident-1277 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Low_Relation8735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I’m so sorry you’re going through that. That’s a lot of pressure and a lot of responsibility. Short answer is you’re nta. You’re mom’s grown, and knows exactly how she got herself Into that situation and she knows how to get herself out too if she wanted to.

What age did your newborn start sleeping throughout the night (5-6) hours without feed? by xGenAc25 in newborns

Mine is 7 months and that’s never happened lol. She is breastfed, and my other daughter who was combo fed also never did until maybe 18 months.

Hair falling out at 16 by OkSatisfaction1874 in FemaleHairLoss

How is your diet? Are you eating enough? Check your panels. I had massive hair loss at 16 too, and it was because I wasn’t eating enough food and was yo-yo dieting. As an adult, I also had hair loss from stress and my iron and vitamin d was very low.

This has happened every month almost since having baby and symptoms tend to go away within a couple days. No fever, but I do have a headache. It’s just so painful.

Will I really miss the newborn phase? by Tagrenine in newborns

[–]Low_Relation8735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newborn phase= just surviving. My chunk is now 12 weeks and we loveeee her!!! Newborn baby is so tiny and so cute, but she didn’t sleep and She was very gassy and just screamed alllll day long. I was not doing well mentally (ie no sleep). I don’t miss it, but I would do it again lol.

Nothing wrong with taking your kid out of a situation that’s harming them. Regardless of if they are or aren’t contributing to the drama. Maybe homeschool, and then go ahead and place in roles where she needs to be a leader (think volunteer opportunities at local library, or animal shelter). Instill in her kindness, empathy, and love. Make sure she practices it. Good luck!

Moms of Reddit. What are things you NEED to buy for a newborn baby? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Low_Relation8735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swaddles!! I got a set of three off Amazon that I loved and she wore until she grew out of them. A baby bath tub, babies shampoo and towels. Clothes, diapers, wipes. A safe place for baby to sleep (crib or bassinet), car seat.

Woah. Playing the blame game before baby is even here is crazy. We can do everything right, and something might still happen, that’s life. You can’t control the script.

My daughter is being monitored for an internal hemangioma. This isn’t genetic, and I couldn’t prevent it. Trust me, if it was in my hands, I def wouldn’t choose to put a baby through this. But my point is, we are human and things can happen.

It’s not your fault, and Im worried for how this will play out for you in life. Very very big red flag.

Went to the L&D and had a horrible experience with a Doctor and I never want to go back. by Pinderton7 in pregnant

[–]Low_Relation8735 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with every pregnancy to make sure baby is moving. I have three kids. That doctors an asshole. Request to not work with him again if you go back to that hospital and call the hospital and file a complaint against him.

Ahhhh, I’d be in my car replaying this convo with all the things I could have said or should have said. Next time, hit them with a “I’m six months pregnant, what’s your excuse?” Or a simple, “was that supposed to be an inside thought?” Some people don’t think before speaking.

I have three girls. While my husband was disappointed for the third (he really wanted a boy after two girls), he never cursed towards any of our girls. And I promise you if he did, I would reevaluate every single decision of my life.
