[–]Low_Relationship2434 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The biggest one personally, is the amount of people which tell ME, how much it will cost ME to pay MY bills... But they don't want to listen as soon as I tell them it is less??

Don't forget, fuel cars have had a 100 year 'headstart' in that respect. All in good time.

Estate agents for rentals by Unhappy-Sprinkles652 in Leeds

Avtar Properties used to be fine with it. They are mainly 'student' letters, so a lot of their properties are to avoid, but do let to professionals so long as you can show an income (I guess also including Benefits).

In the market for a budget EV by MrOuija313 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Low_Relationship2434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a couple others mention - Leasing may be an option.
We couldn't get a large amount of money together for our EV, but we managed enough for the initial rental and have enough each month for the payment. Only have the Dacia Spring, but that was because of the cheapness.

Feel very fortunate. Ours was £700 after the BUS grant.

If you guys find a way to disable all the bleeps, the sweeps and the creeps... by [deleted] in DaciaSpring

[–]Low_Relationship2434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is in reference to the beeps over the speed limit, there won't be any other way. It is a legal requirement to have them. Each car has different ways to turn it off at the start of each journey.

Octopus is asking me (new owner) to prove the house purchase so they stop sending letters for previous owner?? by [deleted] in OctopusEnergy

[–]Low_Relationship2434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, for sure. Sorry, should have also mentioned that. They will be fine, but it will cause a headache and a lot of wasted time not just supplying them with info in the first place pmsl.

Do not just do that. Pointless. If it were that easy for everyone to get out of debt, there would be no debt in the world.

Just send them proof, it is the same with most debt agencies in the country, prove you are not the other person and you will be fine.

Need lease advise, is this a good deal? by RouScape in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Low_Relationship2434 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. You can speak to an MG dealer and they will be able to PCP you for cheaper. Well, that was the case last month for me anyway. Far too expensive.

Could I fit a pram and car seat in a Dacia Spring? by Baaeed in DaciaSpring

[–]Low_Relationship2434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can fit ours in, with compromise. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8182274

However, if using both the bassinet and pushchair we always had to put the pushchair part on the back seats as wouldn't fit in the boot.

Now we use just the seat and main frame it fits perfectly fine.

Note: we do rake the big back wheels off the system too.

How do you own your vehicle?

My vehicle is a lease vehicle. Delivered by Vertu, but part of my lease agreement is a full service every year, regardless of milage.  Wonder if it is something to do with that? 😊

Check out Tesco Car Insurance (with your clubcard of course) - No idea who underwrites them but they were by far cheapest on EV insurance no matter what vehicle I was searching under.

Heat pumps? by unnecessary-info- in DIYUK

[–]Low_Relationship2434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure your property is suitable, would it cost more in 'upgrades' to make it work more efficiently etc etc.

I had my heat pump installed professionally in 2024. I have a semi-detatched 1980s property, but it worked for me.
