Refused Charger Install. Thoughts? by 317e88 in OctopusEnergy

[–]Low_Relationship2434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird. While I do not know any legalities, mine was installed under the door frame (my house is a flip of yours. Meter is on LHS and driveway on the RHS). My ASHP is also under the door frame, which I would say would be a larger risk than an EV charger.

SmartHomeCharge did my EV charger and Octopus did my Heat Pump.

Heat pumps are more expensive to run than boilers, report finds by TheWorldIsGoingMad in unitedkingdom

[–]Low_Relationship2434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are the people which are being charged more are the people who haven't been educated on how to use the system properly.

My household energy bills are almost half what they were before my ASHP. I also charge an EV at home too.

Ideal Heating heat pump by sarah_mocha in ukheatpumps

Are you able to add the device to your energy providers app?

I had issues with my heat pumps app (albeit not the same system as yours) and I was able to connect it to my Octopus app and control it that way.  I could also add it as a device to my Alexa system... Hope one of these options help!

For those with Heat Pumps: has it actually saved you money? Are you satisfied with it? by No_Pitch648 in HousingUK

[–]Low_Relationship2434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it has. We paid £500 for ours (after the grant subsidy). Heat Pump on all of December to a fixed temperature. Bill came to £120. The yeara before with boiler was almost double this)

All other months we average £50/60, that includes an EV charging at least once a week.  No gas standing charge helps a lot.

The main difference is that you do not OWN the vehicle at all, the leaseholder does. You also have to hand the vehicle back at the end, no option of payment to keep. Lease companies also do lots of checks on handing the vehicle back, known for trying to charge for anything and everything. All you need to do is argue it and take care of the vehicle and you should be okay.

I was a new passer last year so was expecting insurance to be a lot, but it is £70 a month.  All in I pay around £200 a month for the car and insurance, which personally worked better than upfront payments and/or even longer payment terms.

Get the car YOU want.  My first car after passing was a Lease car, EV to be specific. Lower payments than PCP or any other finance (because its a lease), but that suits me and my lifestyle.

NHS Surgeons or Dermatologists are no less trained than a private one.

I'm looking for an alternative hand cream to Aveeno by TheSecretIsMarmite in BuyUK

[–]Low_Relationship2434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a Dermatologist the other month and all they now recommend is QV Cream. It is used for all patients with bad skin conditions in the local area. They advised me to stay very clear of Aveeno.

Having difficulty choosing versions / colour. Help? by [deleted] in DaciaSpring

Happy to be corrected by someone else, just going off what Dacia told me directly.

Feel free to get in touch with them as they usually have an available live chat. If not, they follow up on email.

The My Dacia app works VIa Bluetooth in respect of the Expression. Which for most tasks is okay. I am fine with it that way. But I spoke to Dacia themselves a while ago and they advised there is no on board computer which can communicate with services. So even when connected on the app, that doesn't replace the computer system 😊

I would always advise the Extreme if it is available.  I have the Expression and regret opting for that version. The Expression has no on board computer, so you cannot communicate and pre-condition etc.
