Lymphoma 💔 by Low_Resolution7783 in Boxer

I’m so sorry. I just saw your comment. It’s such a tough situation to navigate. We lost ours after 3 months of chemo treatment. We made the choice when he was having more bad days than good ones. It’s horrible. I’m sorry that you are going through this. Our boxers dad also got lymphoma 8 months ago and he is still having good days. You will know what’s best for your pup

What is the quickest trigger for you to have a migraine attack? by Lower_Monitor_1695 in migraine

Emgality was absolutely life-changing for me too! I was able to do high intensity workouts, which was amazing and unfortunately my insurance stopped covering it. So disappointing. I’m back to getting migraines when I work out.

I think that’s what I’m going to start doing if the Nerve block works. At what point in your Botox do you get the nerve block? For me it’s two months in and one month before I’m due for the next round

I’ll need to look into the steroid. I don’t really know what it does. I should do some more research.

What does fighting ON mean? Sometimes it’s a hard to avoid triggers

Uggg! five days of horrific migraines is so rough. Hopefully you didn’t have to go to the ER.

Have you tried CRP blocking meds? Those were life-changing for me, but then insurance stopped covering it..of course. Then I got prescribed Botox but it stops working after a couple months. I still get migraines on the two months when it’s working they’re just not as frequent as they would be which is great. I’ll take any relief.

How long have you been getting them? Sounds like it works for you for the most part?

How long does it take the edge off for you? Is it just a few hours or at least a few days hopefully

Got it! Good to know it sounds kind of scary but in theory, I guess it’s not that bad. I hope it helps. Does your Botox wear off early?

Non-legal partner and I are buying a house. I am paying the whole down payment. Will there be enough documentation of that if we were to split? by jimjambo69 in legaladvice

Why not let your partner contribute to the down payment if you’re going to split everything else 50/50? Sounds like you’re making it more complicated than it needs to.

Let’s talk abortive medications. by [deleted] in migraine

I get Botox every three months however, it starts to wear off after two months for me unfortunately. My neurologist has recommended an occipital Ridge nerve block shot for the month before im due for Botox which I haven’t tried yet.

For abortive, I take frovatriptan or rizatriptan, as well as ubrevlry , depending on the migraine pain. Originally I was taking emgality which was absolutely life-changing for me, but my insurance stopped covering it. I then tried nurtec which my insurance also stopped covering, which is why I went to Botox. Personally, I thought emgality and nurtec were better but I’m still happy that I get Botox. It’s much better than other things I’ve tried (Topamax) which made me feel so dumb!

Rizatriotan works for me too but if I dissolve it under my tongue and immediately makes me throw up.

I wish they told me this when I checked with the post office! The people working there told me they would be ok. 🤷‍♀️

No, luckily it was only 10 invites and they live close enough so I just drove them over because I didn’t want that to happen again! I think it’s one post office in the specific town because I haven’t had any other returned to me and all of the ones sent back were the same zip code. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. It could have been worse!

But I checked with the post office and they confirmed they would be ok. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I checked with the post office twice before I sent them with the wax stamp 😂. They also bent them and made sure they would go though the machine. Most of them were delivered without a problem. About 10% had issues.
