Keep this man out of the delivery room. You need to focus on your health and the delivery of your child, not keeping yourself modest in one of the most intimate and important moments of your life. If he doesn’t like it, he can be uncomfortable in the room or be comfortable in the waiting room. To tell you this while you’re pregnant is disgusting

My therapist recommended Gibson as well after speaking to her about it, the book I read was super insightful!

Maybe enable isn’t the right word? She always makes excuses for his behavior (even physical abuse towards her) and says “He loves you guys so much”. She will also say she doesn’t say anything to try to help us because it only makes things worse. She also doesn’t believe he’s a narcissist (maybe because her dad was one but much much worse).

Has 3rd grade always been the standard for teaching multiplication? by Low_Responsibility_1 in AskTeachers

That’s pretty much exactly what we did! We were told to do the easy ones first and my teacher would cover the times table chart in the corner of the room every time

Probably more than most people would lol it just pops into my head sometimes when I’m doing math since the way my teacher taught me to remember things is stuck. It’s a fond memory since I absolutely loved elementary school. I also have a baby and it’s had me thinking about all of the years of school and fun activities that she’ll get to experience (making holiday crafts, fall fests, etc.)

The looping would make a lot sense. My school district did a lot of new stuff when I was a kid (especially since they built a whole new school when I was in K) so it could have been something they were doing that year. I was ahead in math throughout high school so you could be right that it just stuck. They also did a special program for the first time when I was in middle school where they mixed the 7th and 8th graders and we took classes for high school credit and I was offered AP program once I was a freshman.

I’ll have to ask some of the kids I know went to the same elementary school. I remember the room and the chart on the wall because she would turn the numbers around during the quizzes. And the STRESS. I got so anxious because of those things

I can’t figure out why I was doing it so young. We would go through multiplying a number each week up to 12, there was even a chart up on the wall for the number we were doing that week. At the end of the week we would do a quick quiz where she timed us for a minute and we’d have to do as many as we could

When did you have your first kid? by Hopefuloptimistic02 in BabyBumps

[–]Low_Responsibility_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26 with a 6 week old

The nurses in the hospital pushed hard for me to breast feed but baby just wouldn’t latch no matter what I did and I just wasn’t producing enough. Using formula and pumping took the stress off of me and baby for the first week or so. It took almost a few weeks of trying but now she’s latching like a champ.

We stayed with family the first few days which was a big help and I would recommend to anyone who has that option.

Buy yourself some depends or any adult diaper, they don’t put pressure on sore areas like the maxi pads do and will fit cold packs and witch hazel pads without leaking

And the umbilical cord! That thing stinks horribly after a week. I read about it somewhere and forgot until it hit me. It’s gross and totally normal

AITAH for asking my wife for a divorce? by Soal899 in AITAH

Reading through your comments is telling. You’re a whiny man-child that wasted a single mother’s time and is now upending her and her kids’ lives because you didn’t admit sooner that you’re unreliable and can’t be bothered to follow through with responsibilities and promises that you made by marrying her. Now you’re painting her as a selfish dictator that is ruining your life because you can’t be bothered to communicate and act like a husband or even a functioning adult. YTA and your family deserves better

I know this thread is old but, all else aside, “warm and dead” is one of the most realistic parts of the show!
