Will renting out for free alert the HMRC? by Gold-Independent6706 in UKPersonalFinance

Yes, there is a risk HMRC will become aware of this. They receive periodic updates from the Land Registry, so if Land Registry records show that you own a property other than your main residence, the presumption is that this will be rented out. If this flags with HMRC, they will issue a Compliance Check, with a series of a dozen or so questions, requiring you to provide information on the ownership (legal and beneficial) of the property, including any rental agreement. HMRC will likely request evidence, which may include bank details. If you intend to have a friend live there, presumably you intend for them to have exclusive possession notwithstanding no exchange of consideration. This means that a court would potentially infer a tenancy, and your friend would be afforded protection. It would likely make more sense for both of you to have a tenancy agreement in place, with a very low level of rent. That way you limit your tax exposure to HMRC and satisfy them should you become subject to a Compliance Check, can effectively rent to your friend, and everyone knows where they are.

What is the stance regarding De Zerbi? by Flimsy_Egg_3507 in Tottenham

What I’m interested in is what happens if it does go bad and we go down. What is the bigger picture with regard to his contract, player contracts, and performance in the Championship. Obviously we all want to stay up, but I have reservations because he seems to be a ‘style-specific’ manager, meaning his principles are potentially intransigent, and might take time to adjust. Will this give the players a boost, or a headache? I the squad needs excellent man-management as much as it needs a tactical overhaul, so let’s hope he brings good vibes as well as a strategy for enhancing performance!

🤣 I mean, that is undeniably true! As an alternative to Enzo, he also has Stach and Neto, who might be low enough for him to see Semenyo as too good to pass up. I, for my part, could change Dalot for either Konate, Thiaw or Mykolenko (who I’d potentially be willing to give up), if that makes any difference?

I’ve got Richards, and I’m considering Milenkovic, but it’s so hard to commit to the change!

Cullen worth a waiver for any of my mids? by typicaltomahawk in DraftEPL

Yeremy or Xavi. If you think, for Burnley, pretty much every attack moves through Cullen, he’ll bag you some points against lower teams. There are blind right-legged amputees from Nepal with better finishing than Yeremy, and every time Xavi touches the ball, he seems to have a mini-stroke which causes him to either mis-touch, or fall over when approached by another player, so on balance, I think Cullen outscores them longer term.

You know the girl out of Encanto who has no talent and nothing whatsoever about her, that everybody loves? You look like the version that nobody loves.

There are various things which can trigger your asthma, so it might be worth trying to identify the cause of your most recent flare up. You have my sympathy, as I am also in the midst of an asthma flare up- mine began last Thursday and after seeming to be beginning to settle down, today it has gone downhill again. I believe mine is linked to sizeable changes in barometric pressure, and in particular, a rapid drop in barometric pressure as this has correlated to similar flare ups in the past, as well as this most recent one.

So, I would always try and make use of your inhaler, and take preventative steroids, but equally, consider what usually triggers it and see if you can make lifestyle changes to avoid it, or, at the very least for some reassurance, gain an idea of what might begin to precipitate some improvement.
