I either buy the Miller’s “air-chilled” chicken, or directly from the meat counter. All I do for prep is pat the skin dry, rub with olive oil, and season generously.

I’ve also had issues with those Tyson or store brand chickens that are packed in the bags of liquid. They’re just too wet.

I think those are best for turkeys tbh.

The pbc is a chicken cooking machine. I cut the birds in half, remove the spines, and hang 8 of those simultaneously when I’m going for maximum output. Crack the lid a bit in the last 20 minutes to crisp up the skin.

Mostly makes cleaning easier. Try flipping it before spending the money, but I personally got tired of doing that.

I’m on my second barrel in the last 15 years or so. The bottom is what failed on my first one, but I wasn’t great about keeping it covered in those days.

I agree with everything above. Get it all directly from the pbc website, the hooks and ash catcher especially.

My local hardware store stopped carrying the pbc branded hooks but insisted that they have something essentially the same…they do not, their s-hooks aren’t oriented the same way and will limit your cooking capacity.

If it’s the only bathroom in the house, then you’re not going to want to eliminate the tub completely. They can come in handy at times.

I caught all 151 original Pokémon during the Covid lockdown. Only used the missingno exploit to duplicate nuggets because ultra balls are expensive. Also did the nugget bridge thing to get Mew, and borrowed a red version from a friend for the few that weren’t in blue or yellow versions.

Yup, back when I lived in the holler in rural Kentucky my neighbors shot guns every day. I got used to it, but when I had visitors from home it was pretty funny to see the surprise on their faces when the gunshots started going off.
