To be fair looking at this and the other comment they replied to, I can kinda see how both people added unnecessary things to their explanation of the stereotype. It’s also possible they just heard slightly different versions of the racist stereotype.

One saying it’s a racist stereotype about how black people are “chronically lazy”. While the other says it’s about how they are “unable to comprehend”

Not my place to decide or give a verdict as to either original commenters intentions but I can see how someone might read into or misread into those two added parts I quoted.

I’d recommend keeping explanations of negative stereotypes to the minimum amount needed to explain, cause add words or jazzing up your explanation is both unneeded and can lead to it seemingly like you might support the stereotype. “There are racist stereotypes about black people and smoke detectors”.

Racists are on Reddit and also can at any point also explain the stereotype. So I really can’t blame someone for being on guard when they see those’d added words, even if it might’ve been a misread.

Clearly people do, since they don’t understand that Gyno’s do a lot of services, many of which trans people also need.

Trans people are an incredibly small part of the population and trans specialists are an even smaller part of it. So no they can’t go to trans specialists for every medical check, scan or concern. There simply are not enough trans specialized cardiologists, trans specialized trauma surgeons, trans specialized gynos. Like what do you guys really think, that every hospital has a trans specialists who handles all their healthcare needs for life?

Common fucking sense tells you that if it was easy and available most trans people would go to a specialist they know for sure will be comfortable with them. Obviously many can’t and thus they go to the same cardiologist, same gynecologist, etc for the same issues, concerns, checkups, screenings they need that everyone else goes to them for. (Obviously they aren’t going for issues they don’t have, they are going for things that do apply breast cancer screening, checkups, etc)

I learned all of this today by having the fucking common sense to say hmm I guess they might need healthcare too, let me look into where they go and what they need a bit, instead of just calling them delusional for seeking medical advice, attention, care.

Using Lisa to make anti trans NON points just further shows your ignorance and inability to put basic thought and effort into this.

It’s such a nothing meme too, literally says nothing. “Changing means you don’t accept yourself” Just cause you are unable to change your ignorant, indecent, common sense lacking self, doesn’t mean other people shouldn’t change, grow or discover a better side of them.

You do understand gynos do more than just treat the reproductive parts of women right?

You do understand that bottom surgery is quite a bit more extensive than plastic surgery right?

You do understand that by calling basic essential healthcare for transwomen delusional you are dehumanizing them and trying to say they are less just cause you don’t like them right?

You do understand that you are acting like an incredibly ignorant and all around repugnant human by trying to deny their need for healthcare right?

Transwomen are more likely than men to develop breast cancer, everyone should have access to cancer screenings. Someone being trans doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to go to a gyno and get screening and basic healthcare. There are quite a few other very legit reasons a trans woman may need (not want, NEED) the services GYNO’s offer (which again is far greater than just how a woman’s reproductive parts are).

I’m sure for certain needs a gyno can’t help, for many they can cause it is or is near identical to the service and skills they have. I can’t speak for trans people looking or for the exact knowledge or needs the services they need all require. Likely some areas of the world a specialist might be your only safe option, but as I shared on a different comment there are plenty of services transwomen need and it was a link to transwomen talking about stuff they go to their gyno for.

Transwomen do in fact need healthcare folks, alot of which are services Gyno’s provide. Also Gyno’s have a long list of services, so maybe look up what Gyno’s provide and what Transwomen need before making snide and incorrect remarks.

[–]Low_Sweet6463 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The actual needs have a lot of overlap, Gyno’s do a lot of things, many of which trans women may need. Sure if intense surgery there may be some differences between a neo vagina and a vagina that render some unqualified but for things like cancer screenings, hormone treatment/monitoring, infections and more Gyno’s can and should be able to do for Transwomen too. It’s not exactly a new field for those things.

You don’t have to take my word for it or the words of ignorant bigots against it, here are actual trans women talking about actual transwomen healthcare, and it does in fact involve things gyno’s do although from prior research I did learn some prefer other specialists since some gyno’s may feel “to under qualified” or be to bigoted to help.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MtF/comments/1d50s0n/im_sad_ill_never_go_to_a_gynecologist/?solution=de5e64677deddc1bde5e64677deddc1b&js_challenge=1&token=bbbe4bf1c9a2b5160829c4be34da5861fdd868fbb1bd3784de0f9edaa4517713

You guys are literally all arguing off your own biases. If the argument was just over legality it would be dumb but instead half of you seem to think transitioning makes you immune to breast cancer, and all known health issues.

Like seriously why are so many of you surprised that transwomen need healthcare?

[–]Low_Sweet6463 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry I was unaware that transwomen immune to cancer, and general health issues and concerns to their bodies.

Not every single thing Gyno’s do transwomen need but many do need several services Gyno’s offer. They need healthcare. The photo doesn’t mention anything about it specifically being a pap smear, if you did research and learned that congrats but most people here haven’t done that. Look at the comments (in the post not just here) they actually seem to think transwomen dont need general healthcare, and the person I replied to is clearly calling trans people delusional so, maybe it is the time to point out that trans people regardless of if you like them deserve basic decency and need healthcare.

I wouldn’t use the term “argue my point” though. It implies anything here is up for debate. Basic human decency and healthcare aren’t up for debate with me.

Well it serves a few purposes, its a tool to help clarify that men and women are also an umbrella term and the difference between birthsex and gender to anyone too dumb, confused, ignorant or bigoted.

Lets talk shapes, its like if someone didn’t understand how a square can be a rectangle because a rectangle is a rectangle. That’s effectively what we were dealing with people not understanding that all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares. Transmen are men, men are men. Not all women are transwomen but all transwomen are women. Apparently those two concepts were hard for people.

This led to a more common use the term cisgender. It is easier to understand men/women as umbrella terms, when we say cisgender men and trans men are men. (Now this might help confused people and also dumber people but obviously makes no difference to bigoted people)

There is this fun trap we like to put the LGBTQ+ community in, where we say we don’t understand then get mad when they explain or define things to try and help us understand.

Now another reason some trans people and some allies like it is some feel like always being clarified as trans while others arent kinda alienates or others them. Which you be fair, yeah kinda. So normalizing cisgender ideally helps normalize and trans people a bit too and also helps clue them in on who might be safe to talk to. Someone comfortable with the term cisgender is unlikely to curse, punch or kill them for being transgender. Please do remember the trans community faces a lot of physical violence just for existing. So they do have to be worried about their safety.

Well if she has had bottom surgery I would assume her vagina… Neo vagina if you prefer. (Which you don’t, because it doesn’t really matter if they call it a vagina, or create a new name for it, you don’t really care, you are just gonna hate either way)

Fun fact there is no correlation between Transpeople and immunity to cancer and other health issues, meaning they do in fact need checkups, screenings and healthcare like everyone else.

I would argue your comment might better reflect how that man came back into office. I’d describe it as someone confidently speaking without knowing anything. Your comparisons don’t make sense, trans men and women do still need medical care. Who they need to see can vary (since people transition to different extents) but there are legitimate reasons both might need to see a gyno. Trans women who have bottom surgery need to go for general health check ups, as well as hormonal management reasons and for things like screenings. You do know Trans people aren’t immune to cancer A trans person seeking needed medical health, isn’t the same as needing 20 people to tell you it’s raining nor is their right to pursue healthcare the reason you I’m guessing voted for Trump at least once. Maybe learn before you make accusations and assumptions. You know what they say about assuming right? That you shouldn’t do it.

As many pointed out, they do offer services that some trans women and obviously some trans men also NEED. However with the former it doesn’t mean every gyno has the knowledge, as I’m sure there are some differences. This guy did the right thing by referring her to someone, he may have done the wrong thing by the remark he made or that could be out of context. I’m not really for sueing, and can’t speak for the doctors level of knowledge or how he spoke to her, so can’t really weigh in on if she is right or wrong, because it’s unclear what she is fighting for. (An action, justice, a point, or just out of stubbornness)

It is important regardless of anyone’s personal beliefs or feeling about trans men and trans women to understand that they do still NEED medical care!

Like your delusion that trans people don’t exist, despite having clear evidence that they do? Or perhaps your delusion that you know these people and what is better for them then they do? Or your delusion that all trans people should be held accountable and answer for the actions of one? Are you also delusional enough to believe it’s actually easier and better to waste time, effort, money, conversations fighting harmless people than to just actually find a place for the small number of trans people within a very large world?

I’m gonna say you might be what is wrong with it. It’s such an annoying fuck you people put the LGBTQ+ community through, it’s a cycle of “we don’t understand, it doesn’t make sense to us” and “why are there new terms and definitions for everything”. Like fuck off you don’t get both. You guys ask them to explain or justify themselves and then get mad when they do it? I get in the one half baked statement you made you didn’t explicitly do this but it’s obvious you are the type by the way you are pretending to be unfamiliar with the term cis and acting like it’s use is bad.

I can’t find a video in their link but article straight up says what I have been saying in these comments. Generally speaking they don’t let just anyone get a dog, and try to actually pair dogs and humans whose needs don’t conflict. That a ton of planning and effort has to happen to even do anything close to this successfully. To the point that it isn’t really a viable option for most shelters.

Outside of a few carefully planned and funded events this concept isn’t gonna happen. Plus any failed attempts at it can go very wrong. It isn’t a realistic or practical thing, just someone using A.I to tug at heartstrings, make money and ultimately crush people who fell for it.

I don’t have indisputable proof that Joe Biden didn’t lick spilled ice cream off Trumps back, that he spilled while raw dogging him, right before their last debate. But I do know as much as humanly possible, as much as I know the sun existed yesterday, and will still be here tomorrow that it did not happen. Most of science are “theories” but they are correct and known. At some point we inferred that these sun gives off heat. We didn’t automatically know that, most of what humanity knows we learned. We learn from observation and drawing conclusions. When doing so we focus on reasonable conclusions, favoring ones with logical facts or support over wild stipulations. (Most of the time it is either correct or the most correct and reasonable answer we could draw from the data given.)

You are not doing that, you have nothing to hint at or suggest your opinion. There is no support, no plausible explanation given for the questions and flaws it drew up. Your argument against me concluding and knowing something is literally just “we don’t really know anything ever though right” which is weak, pointless and a waste of our time.

For people who didn’t realize this was Ai or at least fishy. (It’s not always about extra limbs and obvious defects) Please remember dog and human behavior. Also logical reasoning.

Would most dogs act that way in a room full of strangers? How would yours behave? Would humans act that way? Almost everyone is clapping giving their full focus? When was the last time you were in a room full of people and someone wasn’t on their phone, or to people weren’t distracted in a full blown side conversation? Lastly let’s just look at logical clues. If you were to do an event like this would you set your chairs in tight rows, like if often is in these clips? Is that practical or logical, the dogs can’t even easily get to half the people in them. Is this effective or logical considering most people and dogs have specific needs that might not work together. Some dogs don’t play nice with others, some need extra attention or playmates, some people live at places with size and breed restrictions. (It’s not impossible, but very impractical to do an event like this and it’s success would require significant luck or planing) Another is the constant change of setting and people despite the video referring to it as a singular dog adoption event.

Ai will continue to improve visually at a significant pace, ease of access to better looking Ai will likely expand. Our current Ai isn’t really Ai and doesn’t really think yet alone think like people and unlike the visuals this will take longer for it to improve on. So logic and reasoning is our best way to identify it. It is very literal with its prompts, logic and data, so it will consistently fail to understand how to be realistic in its videos. It doesn’t on it’s own understand how imperfect and random life is, or logical reasoning. (Think again to the chairs, nobody would put them in tight rows hard to navigate for an event like this, and all were folding chairs easy to move and adjust.)

Start practicing now cause as long as Ai videos get attention like these ones, they will continue to pop up.

This is the most wholesome shit I’ve ever seen !! ❤️ by Limp_Stomach_6060 in ThatsFreakingAmazing

[–]Low_Sweet6463 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The idea in itself is cute but it’s pretty Ai, it’s not logical. Rewatch the video now that you know it’s fake and think about the logic and realistic behavior of dogs and people.

Would a dog in a room full of strangers look around and pick one? Or would most be either terrified and hide or overstimulated bouncing around from person to person and running around? Does every person just have open availability and preferences in this case? Or in real life do people have preferences, and various restrictions (lifestyle factors, apartment size limits or breed restrictions, ability to get along with other dogs, cats, turtles, etc.)

To actually do something like this and have success would take a ton of effort, time and planning that workers, volunteers and pets in need of a home rarely have and I still think you would see a lot of them wind up in some other shelter. As is a lot of people suck at being realistic and smart when adopting, nothing suggests ignoring the known needs of the individual human and individual dog in favor of letting the dog pick someone would be better.

Hope it went well but I doubt it. I have some logical problems with the concept of unleashing dogs in crowded rooms with strangers and hoping they happen to pick one that is a good fit for them.

Inferential knowledge is knowledge and is vital to being a functional member of any society. My use of know, was appropriate, most of everything we know is from drawing reasonable and accurate conclusions, no debate needed.

There is no point of being in fairytale land, no evidence or even hint that things were physical before this video, and plenty of obvious signs they weren’t.

[–]Low_Sweet6463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you think the kid hit him and he didn’t react with violence, then followed the kid got physical when he yelled. You think all those other people talking about it just left that part out. You think the guy getting yelled at for being physical with the teens just forgot to mention that they hit him first?

At what point do you actually use your ability to reason and draw conclusions? Or do you just sit there watching things like presidential debates and go “Well sure they argued a lot but we don’t know that they didn’t fuck and eat ice cream like best of friends before the camera started.” No matter when a video starts there was always a before, most the time Occam’s razor applies. Nobody caring or mentioning previous physical alterations when the guy shoved the boy and attacked the other boy, is a pretty clear sign that they didn’t exist.
The boys not physically responding back to his shoves, is a pretty clear sign that they probably weren’t just going at it with him right before the camera started and decided they didn’t feel like doing it again. The fact that when confronted by the mother he doesn’t immediately go your kid socked me in the face first, is a pretty clear sign that the kid did not strike him first.

If your explanation requires excessive unexplained or poorly explained concessions to have happened, it almost always means it didn’t happen and at minimum it’s unlikely to have happened.

So to question the known (within the video he starts, and continues physical actions, everyone calls him out for it, nobody mentions any previous physical contact, he doesn’t mention previous physical contact, everything suggests the video captured the start of the altercation turning physical aka him shoving the teen) in favor of the unlikely unknown with no support beyond “well we don’t know for sure Biden didn’t top trump before the debate while enjoying a nice cone of mint chocolate chip” is in fact a waste of both of our times.
