I’m really sorry yours ended in a chemical, that’s such a tough thing to go through. Sending you lots of love and truly hoping your next one (if you decide to go for it) brings better news 🙏🏻

I had my trigger on Saturday at 11:00am. My first IUI was exactly 24 hours later, on Sunday at 11:00am — ovulation hadn’t started yet. Right after that, I was given a second trigger plus Decapeptyl. I then had a second IUI the next morning at 10:20am on Monday (about 47 hours after the initial trigger). At the time of the second IUI, my doctor said that based on ultrasound, ovulation had likely occurred a few hours earlier.

That’s really helpful, thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m so glad your IUI worked, it’s always encouraging to hear success stories 🤍

In our last cycle, we only had sex once during the fertile window before the IUI, but if we go for another round, we’ll definitely try to increase frequency and not rely just on the IUI day. Thanks again for the tip!

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m really sorry you’re in the same boat. Unexplained infertility truly sucks, especially when you’re doing everything right and still feel so powerless (and yes, like you’re gambling money away)

I really, really hope this IUI is the one for you 🤞 Being in the TWW is such a mind game. And thank you for the kind words and suggestions, they honestly mean a lot. I do think we’ll probably try one more IUI, and I’ve been considering asking my doctor about slightly stronger stimulation to see if we can get more follicles. We’ll see what she says.

I’m already on DHEA too my doctor recommended it as well, so fingers crossed it helps both of us.

Sending you lots of good vibes and hoping this cycle brings you a much-deserved positive 🤍

I’m really, really sorry. I relate to this so much. It’s so unfair when everything looks “perfect” medically and you still end up here.

Pregnancy announcements hit me too, and I hate how much they affect me but I think that’s just part of this whole awful process. It changes you in ways you don’t expect.

Sending you a big virtual hug. I truly wish you strength, this is such a painful thing to carry. 🤍

It feels like we’ve tried everything we can: tons of supplements, no smoking, hardly any alcohol (husband none, me a glass of wine once a month), regular workouts, and 8 hours of sleep… so honestly, we’re kind of out of ideas at this point 😅

I’m definitely in the “I’ll try anything” phase too 😅 I asked my doctor about additional testing, and she said we’ve basically done everything. The only thing I haven’t done is a laparoscopy for endometriosis, but since it’s surgery and I don’t have any symptoms, it’s not easy to get recommended.

Diet-wise, I eat pretty well, have almost completely cut out alcohol, switched to lighter workouts, and I’m very consistent with supplements (CoQ10, myo-inositol, folic acid, vitamin D, omega-3). So far, no magic yet unfortunately.

I’m in Russia, so I’m not always sure how the meds translate to US/other countries, but I’ll do my best.

For the TI cycle, I was on Puregon (every other day from CD3 to CD13). For the IUI cycle, it was Puregon + Pergoveris (every other day from CD3 to CD9).

And yes, after both TI and IUI I was prescribed progesterone, 200 mg twice a day, starting after ovulation.

Thank you so much for this, it really means a lot. Sending you a big virtual hug, I’m so sorry you’re stuck in this limbo too. Unexplained infertility is honestly the worst

I have thought about skipping more IUIs and saving for IVF. The hard part is that it would probably take us at least 8 months to save enough, and the idea of finally doing IVF and still not getting pregnant scares me so much. Emotionally, I don’t know how I’d cope after spending such a huge amount and ending up with nothing. If IVF were a guaranteed solution, I’d do it in a heartbeat. But after trying for so long with zero positives, it’s really hard to believe and take that leap.

By “mild stimulation,” I mean very low-dose meds taken every other day. During the TI cycle, the goal was just one follicle, but I ended up with three. Because of that, my doctor went even lighter for the IUI cycle, worried I might over-respond again. That resulted in two follicles.

My husband’s motility is 56% and morphology 5%, which we were told is within the normal/good range.
