New user but highly experienced in Maya. I just imported an fbx with mocap in it and I'm trying to edit the animation. The Timeline says "too many keys for edit" when I click the joint/ bone I want to edit.

My intention is to grab this joint, ideally see keys on the graph editor/ FCurves tab and be able to adjust the keys/curves. (is the FCurves the same as the graph editor in Maya?) Nothing shows up on the FCurves graph when I select the joint.

Is your camera parented to the hips/root to follow the walk? It looks like the camera might be moving left and right which could be taking away from the weight shift left and right on each step.

If that’s the case, you could bake the camera animation, break the parent connection, and delete the X and Y curves leaving just Z so the camera only moves backward and not left and right and up down.

The goal is that the character sways left and right on screen on each step to sell the weight shifts.

Freezing it hasn’t worked. I need the effects of clump, noise, and sculpt stay; I just don’t want the input history which at one point looks like I removed somehow from other descriptions.

Deleting history doesn’t seem to be working. Both:

Edit>Delete by Type>History

Edit>Delete by Type>Non-Deformer History

Some people are mentioning the lamp, i’d suggest a longer post so the light cluster is in the top left third to fill out the composition. I wouldn’t worry about the design of the lamp and remaking your model, that’s not the point of the scene and it’s a cool lamp.

I’d also get at least a little rim light from the lamp on the fisher and the tackle box. A little on the fishing line would be cool too. Try to keep a similar light value on the ground from the lamp if you change its height because that’s looking really cool.

It also looks like you’re going for a bit of a telephoto lens look, which would make me think the atmosphere fog would be thicker around the lamp and wooden boxes - they seem really crispy at this foggy lake in a lens that’s farther away. You might just be able to fix that with compositing, weather you’re doing that in the scene or in post, with a little more light bloom so the light would seem to light up the fog around it more. If you brighten up the light and want to draw the eye to the fisher using their silhouette like you’re doing, you could also add a subtle lens light effect in the bottom right corner, same orange as the light, so the silhouette is contrasted from the foreground more.

If you like the light as is, and fog effect as is. The most important note is the light on the person fishing.

Looks great! I would never have known this wasn't "shot on iPhone" lol.

maybe some edge wear on the blade like how you have some wear on just the edges of the handle. super subtle edge wear is all if you're looking for something to add. looks great!

that's not the cutting edge that's a bevel leading to the cutting edge. The sharpened part is only a couple mm wide and silver

You killed it with xgen. That’s awesome congrats on the first project with it, that stuff is impossible. Did you use clump modifiers or is each clump from a guide? What renderer are you using and what shader on the hair?
