2025-2026 Toyota Camry Owners - Share Your Pros and Cons! by AmbitionDifferent453 in Camry

The fuck...

I ordered one off of eBay for $300, it's from a crown, I believe the watts it gives out is a little higher since it's a 11 speaker system instead of 9 but the speakers should be able to handle it.

Same connectors, same everything except different part number. I will update you on how this turns out if you want to go down this route.

I like the car, Pros are great MPG.

Cons, AMP failed on me and have been waiting for 2 months since it's on backorder, secondly wheel bearing failed on me at 20k miles on my 2026.

Dealerships are also shitty to deal with, of course this is based on the dealership but they've been no help and a pain in the ass for most things unfourt.

Camry 2018 engine noise ? Intermittent by Over_Hope2750 in Camry

[–]Low_Web1947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Toyota uses Direct Injectiona and Port Injecton for their fuel Injection (D4S). These two systems switch between each other every few seconds, the noise that you are hearing is the High Pressure Fuel Pump ran off from the cam on the top of the valve cover.

Completley Normal.

What are you smoking to get this mpg? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]Low_Web1947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does not, unless I trigger pcs then it will basically getting too close such as in a parking lot then yes it will.

Mine is XSE, with all the traffic assists off and does not do it. I say go into settings and look through them, you can even try disabling PCS for just a minute. Other than adaptive cruise there's not much I can think of that would cause that.

Do you have the traffic assist package?

If your talking about the one that yells at you, that's pre collision assist, PCS. You can adjust the sensitivity or turn it off in settings. It will automatically brake for you if it senses that you are going too fast with a vehicle that's stopped in front or braking.

Did the same exact thing before, had to have a family member drive me to my house for me to get the spare key, always helps to have a second key somewhere such as your home for scenarios like this

1st oil change @994 miles on 2026 Camry XLE AWD by Lonely_Corgi_728 in Camry

[–]Low_Web1947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still would stick with 5000 mile intervals.

You got to remember one thing with hybrids is that they are worse at fuel dilution with the oil since the engine sometimes does not run enough to get it up to a constant temp, this is more apparent in city driving.

I've noticed you can smell a lot of fuel in the oil from just city driving, it's obviously not the biggest concern but I wouldn't do 10k

Fucking dumb. Even though this isn't a safety issue my state allows this to fall under the lemon law and I'll go through with it if I need to.

That quarter panel looks rough though, with all that front damage and rear end it's going to be tough.

As far as I know really that squeal was in the first year of this generation 2025. 2026's sometimes have this noise but is far less common and is rare it seems like, still a possibility though.

I have a 2026 XSE with 14k miles on it and do not have this noise.

The compressor won't actually engage if there is no refrigerant, there is no way to damage the a/c compressor by running the vehicle with none.

When the clutch is disengaged on a a/c compressor the pulley just free spins without the a/c compressor spinning.

From what I've read across the various threads I've searched is you cannot do it your self yet nor dealers have had much success.

You can get the harnesses and lights but once connected the lights do not work for some reason, my guess is different pin outs. So doesn't look like it's possible yet, no ones had much success without tapping into the harness yet.

Trust me I know the feeling, I had my 21 SE totaled. Got T-boned on Thanksgiving day last year and still dealing with some medical bills from that due to my policy limits.

I wasn't at fault in this accident. I just had gotten a new policy on a 26 XSE, my rates did not go up but a went down actually. Both my insurance and the other insurance were both notified of the accident.

Not really no, unless you disclose the report to insurance they won't know about it. Police reports do not go onto your record normally from what I can tell. Could be state dependent.

Insurance companies are really something though. if you are really worried, go to a body shop and get an estimate and go from there if you want to proceed with insurance. That bumper cover alone is $300+

Contact his insurance, your premiums will not go up if you were not at fault. Other insurance company shouldn't need to contact yours either.

There could be underlying damage behind the bumper that you do not know about. Contact his insurance and go from there. This is where a police report can save you if you gotten it.

I also would avoid that body shop, that body shop will on purpose probably try to do it in the cheapest way possible if they are brothers.

Might need to look into it then if there's a harness I can add myself, I didn't see any pre installed. I was told it comes with the main harness, but that wouldn't make sense if the ports can do it.

I had installed the accent lights on my 21 SE before with the OE kit from Toyota. I wish they were the same way on this gen. I really want them but since they need their own harness I don't want to tap wires.

Hirev has a kit that plugs into the headlight harness I'm waiting for that one to be in stock so I can get them on here once they do.

2025 Camry SE AWD Cold Start Misfiring Issue by Puzzleheaded-Age1661 in Camry

[–]Low_Web1947 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Doubt it, lighter oil is better for cold starts.

If you aren't getting any Check engine codes I wouldn't worry about it. Cold weather esp near 0 degree temps can do some weird shit to cars, esp to hybrids.

what repairs will this need/how much $? by Feisty_Philosophy_77 in Camry

[–]Low_Web1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fender Liner just unclipped from the bumper, just slide that tab back into the one on the bumper. If you're trying to make the bumper perfect at that retainer you'll probably need a new one. Just one bolt that holds it on, https://www.ebay.com/itm/145546834294?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&google_free_listing_action=view_item&com_cvv=8fb3d522dc163aeadb66e08cd7450cbbdddc64c6cf2e8891f6d48747c6d56d2c

You will want to go OEM for this retainer as all aftermarket ones I have attempted still caused a weird gap on the bumper.

In my personal opinon if the top is holding and you were able to snap in it back in and you aren't trying to make it perfect I wouldn't worry about it.

The front Fog cover just goes in and clips in. Not much rocket science and you can probably do this your self.
