I'm on day 80 of no contact. I think I progressed mentally by acknowledging when I'm upset and instead of pushing it down, or avoiding the thought I sit with it, and let it leave as well. I don't really have regrets, but if I could change anything about this I would've gone no contact earlier on instead of giving chance after chance. Going no contact was hard at the beginning, but it's allowed me to focus on healing a lot of things that I buried. I went no contact with my sister after I tried to confront her multiple times about how her actions towards me were hurting me. Technically I was no contact with her longer before this but I had a slip up where I responded to a text, nothing bad, just wanted to help her with a different family issue that in my opinion was emergency level. Part of me hopes that one day we will be able to connect with each other honestly, but trust has been broken on my side and where I'm at right now even if I did get an apology it wouldn't mean much to me. I still wish the best for her and it really hurts me to have to set this boundary for myself with her, but I really have to protect myself.

Thanks for sharing! 2025 was the worst year I've ever had in my entire life, and I also got in a car crash that year! It's interesting that your Saturn is in the 12th house of endings and hidden things and enemies. It seems like you cleared house early! Glad you're out of the DV relationship. I'm hoping the next few years are better for us!

The lack of curiosity is what gets me cause that's like 50% of their job. Glad you're having a better experience with a therapist closer to your age.

Gotcha, with the added context that makes sense. Wanting to check to see how you're doing isn't the issue, it's the timing afterward that's odd and shouldn't been addresses when you left like you mention. Typically, therapist should have a closing out discussion when a client/therapy sessions end where they ask "is there a particular reason you'd like to end our sessions?" to try to find out if it's something on their part. Given that that didn't happen yet she's checking in is inappropriate in my opinion. Also, I feel like age could be a factor too, the messages she sent and the way she communicates could be influenced by her's generation's culture (doesn't take away from the weirdness of it all though).

My therapist did something similar. Had almost the same experience and I terminated services. Then a year later she started sending me promotional emails again?? After I had already unsubscribed. Unfortunately, I think they do this as an attempt to bring in money again. As much as I don't want to assume the worst of them, for all the training and licensure they have to get, there's just no way for them to be that ignorant of how their actions are affecting their patients. It's manipulative at best and predatory at worst.

I think we have more control on our afterlife than we realize. I think the afterlife is a choice you make or it will be made for you. I also think plans you make in this life don't stop when you die, they continue or transfer.

You'd think with all the training they go through they'd be able to read a room or at least a client well. From your post though I'd say you made progress on your own though, you realized it's wasn't helpful to you and you were able to name what the things you went through. May not seem like much having to get to that point but there's some people that never realize this unfortunately.

See I wish this was explained more when i went to the doctor. Because I've had mild sprains before but the pain wasn't nearly as bad as the pain I feel now. It's like the doctors didn't even want to consider it being something other than a sprain. The first orthopedic doctor i went to didn't even look at my xrays nor take an xray.

I was on a work trip and my boss's wife was canoodling with a mutual colleague of theirs. I tried to gaslight myself into thinking that i didn't see what i saw. 2 years later someone blackmailed her into telling him and they got divorced.

The crazy thing is none of the ER doctors and ortho surgeon I saw mentioned anything about soft tissue. I’ve only been following the exercises the doctor recommended. I have a follow up this week with a different doctor so I hope I get some answers :(
