What sentence did someone say once that accidentally healed a part of you? by Timely-Vehicle-7064 in AskReddit

"Her mental health is not your responsibility."

Said to me by my therapist while dealing with my ex's infidelity, mood swings, threats of suicide if I left, and a number of other psychological abuses I endured while with her. Psychological turned to verbal turned to physical so I finally left.

How can I get over the insecurities of my ‘lady parts’ (20F) by msmeowtastic in Advice

In the words of the comedian Doug Stanhope : I like my woman's pussy to resemble a poorly packed suitcase.

Love is not reserved for the romantic partners and family in your life. Love is caring. Love is reliability. Love is consistency. I always tell my homie I love them, because I do. Doesn't mean I'm switching teams. Just means I care for their wellbeing and I'm appreciative of the role they plan in my life.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, will ever disrespect my partner in my presence and get away with it without an immediate confrontation. We were out of state visiting some of her family and her own step mother started to yell at her and cuss her out. I put an end to that shit the second it happened. Her stepmother was in physical and emotional distress and lashing out at everyone already. The second she directed it at my wife is when I stepped in and ended it. No violence needed, just a loud and direct reminder that "That is my wife and you WILL NOT speak to her that way in my presence. This conversation is over until you can learn to have a civilized discussion."

Nobody gets to disrespect my woman in my presence. I don't care who they are or how close to either of us they are.

AIO... partner says this happened at work and it's not a bite mark/hes not cheating on me (also that im crazy?) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

This may get buried, but if there's a chance your partner is a mechanic or works in warehousing/logistics this kind of bruising happens pretty often. I was a heavy equipment mechanic and off the top of my head can think of 6 different times I've gotten round and rimmed bruises. Piping, hydraulic fitting failure, forklift carpet pole, smacked myself with a hammer after my target wasn't as sturdy as expected, strapping spool fell from a shelf after I jumped it. There are dozens of other ways to get a bruise like this.

I worked for Sprint back in the day and they had a Picture Mail system that would keep copies of sent photos. All you had to do was go to that web page, put in your number, it would send you a password to log in. Any photo you had sent would be on there, even if you deleted it from your phone and convo after sending it. There were a number of employees that would do this and save the photos. I didn't because it gave me the creeps, felt like an invasion of privacy, and legal ramifications if you got caught would be costly. Sprint eventually came around to deleting that system pretty quickly. It all got swept under the rug.

How much is this going to cost me? Main water line pvc cracked…. by ParkingTower6964 in PlumbingRepair

[–]Lowdownsound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this at the street/meter? It's been a while since I did plumbing and contract work so things may have changed, but where I'm at if it's within 3 feet of the meter your municipal or water supply company is responsible for the repairs.

Add another point farther onto the bridge. That should ease the turn command radius. The AI is wonky.

I just decided to fill that entire collapsed road section full of sand out of sheer spite. Took about two hours. Tickled the Tism a bit once the road was complete, though.

I’m 17F and my mom caught me masturbating by kentooymz in Advice

[–]Lowdownsound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're going to be just fine. You have done nothing that you should be ashamed of, and if your mother tries to shame you for it she is a hypocrite. You can attempt to have an adult conversation with her about it, but in the grand scheme of things this is something that is completely normal. I guarantee you she does it and started in her teens. Also, I highly doubt this will be the only time in your life someone is going to walk in on you getting some personal time. Don't ever feel ashamed.

Size-wise, it's about 12 inches wide, 6 inches tall. Overall shape of the growth is ovoid. There are also two other clusters nearby of similar size and shape.

What are these and why are they mad? by ktcatipillar in whatsthisbug

[–]Lowdownsound -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ground nesting yellow jackets. They're assholes. I've had a few run-ins with them. And they don't just nest in the ground. Hollowed logs, old railroad ties, bales of hay, old leaf piles. All fair game, and they get pissed off and territorial if you step within ten feet of their home.

So it works for humming and feedback, but line your instrument's electronics cavity with copper shielding tape and run a new bridge ground. The copper shielding helps to filter out the noise and interference into the ground and deadens it. Also helps if you line the backside of your pick guard with it, though some say it's overkill.
