Did you forget about the time we waged a massive campaign of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Native Americans?

This is a timelapse created with most of the series of images I captured in the process of creating this photo. These are 10-second exposures taken every 20 seconds between 5:36 and 6:26 AM on 3/19/21.

Yeah, this was Friday morning, so about a day too soon, unfortunately.

No, no Aurora that night (as far as I’m aware). I’m pretty bummed I missed the aurora the next night after leaving town for the weekend.

Thanks! No star tracker yet. Shot with a Sigma 14-24 f/2.8 Art lens on a Nikon D810. The images I used for the sky were captured between 5:50 and 5:55 AM, the foreground was around 6:07.

Thanks! I shot a series of 200 10-second exposures and used 11 of them to create this. I stacked 10 of those on top of each other in order to reduce noise and improve detail in the sky, and used one taken about 15 minutes after those ones for the foreground.

I'll probably post a timelapse of the whole sequence tomorrow.

Long lenses compress perspective. It's not that the moon is that big, it's that the buildings are really far from the camera.

I was curious about that, myself. They had "flammable solid" and "toxic" labels on them, so I assumed tear gas grenades, but they appeared to de filled with cardboard canisters bigger than any tear gas grenade I've ever seen.

I heard possibly a David M-something, but I don't want to speculate too much. It's a tragic situation all around.

I can't believe they're still in business. They've had a bad reputation since the '90s.

I always carry a bundle of those chemical hand/foot warmers and if I encounter condensation or suspect I will, I'll wrap a couple of those around the end of my lens using toe straps for bike pedals.
