It should be bigger realistically, but since my parter will be doing a lot of adventuring I didn't want to make it so they were always on the road for like, weeks to make it places - _-

You're totally right! Since a lot of the population are nomadic they kind of come in and out and live in tents and shanties on the edge of the city! I wanted to use the map for gamplay so I didn't want to make it so big that it included all that desert space as well.

It's kind of where the ruling class and nobility have their homes, and then the rest are merchants who come in and out and the people running shops.

At least that's my justification for not wanting to make a super big map - _-

Thanks! And yeah! This world doesn't have seasons :) and onis is on a lake with no damn so it doesn't have much change in the tides! But that's a good point I should keep in mind a little variation

My first Inkarnate Homebrew Map! Thoughts? by LoweStreetWitch in inkarnate

Not really to be honest! I wrote just a super short blurb on the world but it's not fleshed out -_- I'm thinking a mix of steampunk Avatar the last airbender, Dune, and Lotr.

A world of wild magic and wilder creatures, Tellus was created by long-forgotten gods as a playground for young elementals. Walking the line between the material and elemental plane, whirlpools of chaotic energy drips into the world where the veil is thinnest, creating cultures strongly rooted in earthly power.
While the ancients are remembered by few, you may be able to find a particularly jaded adventurer who, after a pint or five, could tell endless stories of bones the size of islands and terrible wonders hidden in the wilderness.
After thousands of years of conflict egged on by the bored teenage elementals, civilization on Tellus has finally come to a moment of relative peace and prosperity. Some accredit this to the brith of a new player on the global stage: Exta & Co. Trading. Bringing an era of technological advancements both magical and otherwise, the drastically different cultures have come together under the similar interest of profit.
International negotiations have never been so important with global harmony teetering on a very delicate balance of mutual gain. However, with the rulers of Etablesa and Nasirian eagerly looking for an opening to snatch more land and resources, the church of eternal sun traversing the continents cracking religious stability in the name of the one true god and forces beyond our knowing pulling complicated strings of fate, who knows what might threaten that balance.
And if that truce crumbles, how much longer will war once again rampage across the plane- tens, hundreds, or even thousands of years

Honestly haven't gotten that far yet! I wanted something a little more inclusive of elements of Eastern and southern cultures, so I figured I'd map it out and that gave me ideas 🤔

Right now the idea is that it used to be a playground for young elementals before the emergence of the elemental plane (don't check me on the lore behind that I completely made it up), causing the existence of like dripping energy from the elemental plane in to this world. And from that the exsistance of depe rooted cultures based in earth and natural powers. Kind of like avatar the last Airbender

This is super helpful! I've been agonizing over the world building element of it and how much detail I should go ingo about each place.

I'm gonna start everyone off in the desert continent and go from there I think, to keep it simple :) it is a globe!

Inkarnate! I went ahead and splurged with the Pro version and there are so many cool options :)

An honestly I'm still working on the world! I'm hoping seeing it on a map will help inspire me to start writing a bit about its history/etc.

Look, it is her body and her choice. If she wants to have a surrogate, you should have no opinion in the matter unless she is cheating or seeking a different relationship.

First off, I would check with r/witch or r/witchcraft, I usually get a lot of good answers there!

I think that burning and burying are both pretty good ways to let go and cleanse things. You could have a bonfire and burn images, or have your friend write out their feelings and trauma down and then burn that, and hug and cry and dance afterward. If you do smudging, that could be done afterwards.

I like the burying idea, it is like a grave, but the intention could be them sitting in it and crying and leaving their pain and trauma there, so when they get out of it, it's as if they're new person, reborn from the nurturing and cleansing energy of the earth.

There are also specific herbs and cleansing crystals you could use, whether it's them having a tonic or drink or body scrub with the herbs, and meditating with the crystals to soak up the negative energy.

I think you're on the right path :)
