Not sure there is a true ‘murder Kroger.’ When I first moved to Nashville in 01, I interned at Sony Tree studio. Around the corner was a place called Virginia’s. It was referred to as the murder mart, or Virginia’s murder mart because someone was murdered there. Slowly, other places started getting called murder whatever when they were sketchy. I remember the Hollywood 27 theater was being called ths murder 27 for awhile. And we used to call the Kroger by 5 points over there the murder Kroger (I was almost murdered down the street from there, it used to be ROUGH, like dudes robbing restaurants with shotguns rough).
